- Lebanon’s cabinet has approved a license for Starlink, Elon Musk’s satellite internet company, to offer internet distribution services nationwide using SpaceX-(SPACE) operated satellites.
- Tony Saad, spokesperson for Telecommunications Minister Charles Hage, told Lebanon's state-owned National News Agency (NNA) on Thursday that Starlink was granted the license after about six months of negotiations with the government.
- The service will initially be restricted to companies, with subscription packages starting at $100 per month.
