A Kochi-to-Abu Dhabhi IndiGo flight returned to base due to a mid-air technical snag that forced the pilot to turn back.
The flight was in the air for about two hours, according to sources.
The flight -- IndiGo 6E1403 -- took off from Kochi, Kerala, on Saturday morning, but faced a technical snag soon after, which prompted the pilot to start the return journey as a precautionary measure.
The flight successfully landed at the Kochi Airport, with all passengers safe.
According to the private sector airline, the decision was taken after the cockpit received indications of a technical issue.
Keeping passenger safety in mind, the pilot opted for an emergency return.
The precautionary return ensured a safe landing without incident.
