Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on a three-day visit to five states, Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar, from September 13 to 15, 2025. According to the PMO's press release, the visit will focus on inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of multiple projects worth Rs 71,850 crore, aiming to strengthen development in these states.

State-wise projects:

Mizoram: PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects worth over Rs 9,000 crore in Aizawl on September 13. These projects will cater to multiple sectors, including Railways, Roadways, Energy, and Sports, among others.

He will also inaugurate the Bairabi-Sairang New Rail line that will connect Mizoram to the Indian Rail network for the first time. The Rail Line Project has 45 tunnels and includes 55 major bridges and 88 minor bridges.

PM will flag off three new express trains, Sairang-Delhi Rajdhani Express, Sairang-Guwahati Express and Sairang-Kolkata Express. In his visit, PM will also lay the foundation stone of multiple road projects, including the Aizawl Bypass Road, the Thenzawl-Sialsuk Road and the Khankawn-Rongura Road.

He will also lay the foundation stone of the Chhimtuipui River Bridge on the Lawngtlai-Siaha Road, along with the Khelo India Multipurpose Indoor Hall for Sports Development.

Manipur: PM will lay the foundation stone of multiple projects worth over Rs 7,300 crore at Churachandpur, including Manipur Urban Roads, National Highway Projects and Manipur Infotech Development project, among others. 

Followed by the inauguration of projects worth Rs 1,200 crore at Imphal, which include the Civil Secretariat at Mantripukhri, IT SEZ Building and New Police headquarters at Mantripukhri; Mantri Bhawans at Delhi and Kolkata.

Assam: PM Modi will participate in the celebrations of the 100th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in Guwahati. Further, the inauguration of major infrastructure and industrial development projects worth Rs 18,530 crore will take place on September 14. 

He will lay the foundation stone of various projects in Darang, followed by the inauguration of Assam Bio-ethanol Private Limited, Numaligarh Refinery Plant in Golaghat. He will also lay the foundation stone of the Polypropylene Plant at Golaghat. 

West Bengal: On September 15, PM Modi will inaugurate the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference-2025 in Kolkata. It is the apex-level brainstorming forum of the Armed Forces to lay the groundwork for the future development of India's military preparedness.

Bihar: PM Modi will launch the National Makhana Board in Bihar and inaugurate the Interim Terminal Building at New Purnea Airport to further regional connectivity. He will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development projects of around Rs 36,000 crore at Purnea.
