Local passenger vehicle sales have been rising all year with August showing the highest numbers since 2019. I spoke with Motus CEO Ockert Janse van Rensburg about their recent results and the vehicle sales trend. He points out that people are shopping down, in many cases for Chinese vehicles, and they’re holding onto their vehicles for longer.

I chatted with the outgoing KAP CEO Gary Chaplin on results. Conditions are tough and the results reflected this. But they’ve got two large projects that have come online and are operating ahead of schedule. With a decent looking balance sheet, they are well placed for the years ahead with increased revenues and profits.
