Sydney Sweeney Makes the LA Dodgers Game Glamorous With Her New Chic Bob

Only Sydney Sweeney can make a baseball game glamorous.

Sweney, 28, showed off her new bob at the Los Angeles Dodgers game last night, while cheering on the team against the Toronto Blue Jays. For the game, she parted her blonde mane to the side and styled her chin-length strands in a voluminous, curly blowout, giving Old Hollywood vibes.

The actress teamed her hairdo with a full beat, including dewy foundation, rosy cheeks, filled-in eyebrows and a perfectly lined, pink pout. She made her ensemble even more dramatic with black rectangular sunglasses.

The Anyone But You star debuted her blunt bob at the AFI Fest premiere of her movie Christy on October 25. At the time, her platinum locks were parted down the middle and worn in loose curls. She styled her hair with a pastel Miu Miu dress complete with a halter neckline and A-line skirt.

Sweeney’s colorist, Jacob Schwartz, who is the hair color and trend ambassador of Schwarzkopf Professional, opened up to Vogue about her new look, sharing that she was “looking for a change.” “[Sydney] wanted to have a big hair moment for the red carpet to support her new movie, Christy,” he said. “It felt like the perfect time to do something bold.”

Schwartz added that Sweeney went from a “dark suede blonde” to much brighter, to make “her eyes and features pop.” He added that the hue also complements “the cut so well.”

In Christy, Sweeney donned a number of hairstyles, including a brunette mullet, a shaggy pixie cut and blonde box braids.

Her longtime hairstylist, Glen Coco, told Vogue earlier this month that she had a “transformation” in the movie. “Christy has a lot of underlying tones of resilience, transformation and power,” he explained.

Coco shared, “Sydney herself transformed herself for this role, and I wanted to morph her into this updated version of herself in real life. Something new and fresh to close out the rest of the year.”

Besides hair, the actress gained 30 pounds to play the part of Christy Martin.

She told Vanity Fair in September that her “body was completely different” while filming.

“I didn’t fit in any of my clothes. I’m usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My boobs got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy! I was like, ‘Oh, my god,’” she said.

Sweeney added that she was proud of herself, gushing that it was an “amazing” experience. “I was so strong, like crazy strong.”

According to the official movie plot, Christy follows the boxer as she “discovered a knack for punching people.”

The description continued, “Fueled by grit, raw determination, and an unshakable desire to win, she charges into the world of boxing under the guidance of her trainer and manager-turned-husband, Jim. Flaunting a fiery persona in the ring, her toughest battles start to unfold outside of it as she confronts family, identity, and a relationship that just might become life-or-death.” Christy premiered on September 5.
