Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans has officially parted ways with David Eason.

The Ashley reported on Friday, July 11, that a judge agreed to grant Evans’ motion of an “absolute divorce” between her and Eason. In the alleged document shared by the outlet, which is known for Teen Mom coverage, their date of separation was listed as February 2024.

“Plaintiff is granted an absolute divorce from Defendant, and the marriage bonds existing between the parties are hereby forever dissolved,” the court docs obtained by The Ashley reads. “Plaintiff is allowed to resume the use of her pre-marriage name, Jenelle Evans.”

Evans, for her part, weighed in on the divorce in a statement to TMZ. “After a really long and draining process, my divorce from David is official. This chapter has been heavy, but I’m walking away from it with clarity, strength and so much love for my kids,” she said on Friday. “My focus is on them and our future and I’m just thankful to finally have peace and a fresh start.”

While Evans and Eason are officially divorced, the former couple are still debating custody, child support and other issues. The Ashley reported that Evans and Eason are set to appear in court of mediation on August 11.

Evans and Eason began their relationship in 2015, welcoming daughter Ensley two years later. (Evans is also mom of son Kaiser, 11, with ex Nathan Griffith and Jace 15, with ex Andrew Lewis.)

The lives of the pair, who tied the knot in 2017, were documented on Teen Mom 2 until Evans exited the series in 2019. Evans filed for separation from Eason in March 2024 after six years of marriage.

While reflecting on their marriage, Evans exclusively told Us that there was one moment she knew it was time to end her relationship with Eason.

“I think he cheated on me with his ex-wife,” Evans said in June. “When those text messages came out, that was pretty much the breaking point.”

Eason allegedly sent his ex-wife text messages claiming he wished he could “turn back the clock” in 2023. He denied the allegations and addressed the messages to Celebuzz, saying, “That’s not cheating but I have mountains of evidence about her cheating.”

Evans denied being unfaithful. “His attitude that he had, putting everyone in a bad mood all the time,” she told Us in June. “Everyone was walking on eggshells and I’m like, I don’t have to live like this and I don’t have to stay together just because we have kids.”
