Sofía Vergara’s sister Sandra Vergara is joining the cast of Selling Sunset.

Before season 9 premieres on Netflix later this year, Variety confirmed on Monday, July 14, that Sandra, 36, will be part of the Los Angeles-based cast. Before appearing on Selling Sunset, Sandra got her start as a broadcast host before transitioning to scripted roles on CSI, The Bold and the Beautiful, Nip/Tuck and Friday Night.

Sandra will be joining Chrishell Stause, Emma Hernan, Bre Tiesi, Chelsea Lazkani, Mary Bonnet, Romain Bonnet, Amanza Smith, Alanna Gold, Nicole Young, Jason Oppenheim and Brett Oppenheim.

There are also some new faces joining season 4 of Selling the OC: Kaylee Riccardi, Fiona Belle and Ashtyn Zerboni. The trio are rounding out the cast that already includes Jason, Alex Hall, Polly Brindle, Tyler Stanaland, Gio Helou, Austin Victoria and Brandi Marshall.

According to the official synopsis, season 9 of Selling Sunset is set to follow the Oppenheim Group agents as “new faces will bring new feuds into the Los Angeles real estate market. As the pressure turns up in their personal and professional lives, some might not have what it takes to keep their seat at the brokerage. As the landscape in Los Angeles quickly changes, everyone will have to adapt to a new reality.”

Selling the OC, meanwhile, is focusing on the Orange County agents “who are ready to establish their office as the top brokerage within the Oppenheim Group. As the competition heats up for some high-stakes listings, some may get burned as devastating rumors divide the team.”

Netflix’s Selling the Sunset franchise, which debuted in 2019, follows employees at high-end Los Angeles real estate brokerage the Oppenheim Group. The Netflix series boasts expensive homes, but it’s the drama between the cast that keeps viewers coming back for more.

Nine seasons in, the cast divides are bigger than ever. When season 8 came to an end in 2024, Chrishell, 43, and Nicole, 39, were still at odds — and now Emma, 33, has found herself involved in some of the drama. After previously accusing Chrishell of only getting real estate listings because their boss Jason, 48, had a crush on her, Nicole then claimed Emma was having an affair with a married man.

“100 percent [I almost walked away completely]. I was down to the very last second deciding if I should do it or not, because I felt what happened was so unfair,” Emma exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2024. “At the end of the day, I came on the show to inspire women and what they portrayed is the opposite of what I did and the opposite of what I stand for.”

Nicole attempted to clarify where she got the information, but the damage was done. She has since hinted that her issues with the others will continue to play out.

“I’m still debating whether or not I want to continue filming in this kind of environment, especially with so many infuriating double standards,” Nicole told Us one month later. “Selling Sunset has been a great opportunity and a wild ride, but it is not my life or identity. I have a big, beautiful life outside of the show … and thankfully in the real world, my life and personality can’t be edited or misconstrued to portray me negatively to fit into a produced storyline.”

Then, as everyone chose sides in that feud, Chelsea, 32, accused Bre, 34, of bringing her friend Amanda Lynn to the show as a way to intentionally out Chelsea’s husband Jeff Lazkani‘s alleged infidelity, which ultimately led to their split.

Selling Sunset is currently streaming on Netflix.
