The two-night event — which started on Saturday, September 6, and continues on Sunday, September 7 — is an annual celebration of artistic and technical achievements in a variety of television genres, including reality TV, drama, comedy and documentary programs. The big winners from the first night included Julie Andrews receiving her third Primetime Emmy Award, this time for voicing Lady Whistledown in Netflix’s hit period drama series Bridgerton. Bryan Cranston and Julianne Nicholson took home the awards for Outstanding Guest Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series, for The Studio and Hacks, respectively. In the Outstanding Guest Acting in a Drama Series categories, Shawn Hatosy won for his appearance on The Pitt and Merritt Wever received the Guest Actress prize for Severance.
