Vanessa Hudgens' Honest Quotes About Pregnancy and Motherhood

18 hours ago 1

Vanessa Hudgens and her husband, Cole Tucker, always knew that they wanted to have children.

“They both want a family now, and that’s what’s driving them toward getting married [soon],” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2023, ahead of the couple’s wedding in Tulum, Mexico.

One year after Hudgens and Tucker tied the knot, the actress revealed at the 2024 Oscars that they were expecting their first baby.

“Cole hasn’t left Vanessa’s side throughout her pregnancy,” a second insider told Us in April 2024. “It’s only making her fall even more in love with him. She knows Cole will make an amazing father.”

The High School Musical star gave birth in July 2024, though the pair did not immediately reveal their child’s name or sex. The next year, Hudgens confirmed she’s expecting again.

“Round two!!!!,” she wrote via Instagram in July 2025, sharing photos of her bare baby bump.

“The walking sounded aggressive,” she quipped to Bustle in April 2024. “It’s a lot of walking.”

Replacing Shoes

During her first pregnancy, Hudgens found that her shoe size changed.

“I feel like most of you know when you’re pregnant, your feet swell up,” she said in an Instagram video in March 2025. “But what I didn’t know is that sometimes your feet stay swelled up and your foot grows an entire size. That’s what happened to me.”

As a result, Hudgens said she needed to “replace [her] entire shoe closet.”

Showing Her Projects to Her Kids

Hudgens already can’t wait for her children to discover her most beloved projects, including the High School Musical and The Princess Switch franchises.

“I’ll show my kids all my work,” Hudgens told E! News in May 2024. “That’s why I chose things along the way in my career. I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age.”
