WWE's Alexa Bliss Teases Potential Tag Team With Husband Ryan Cabrera

WWE star Alexa Bliss teased an in-ring collaboration with her husband, Ryan Cabrera, after he recently gave pro wrestling a shot.

“I gave him a tackle and he did some moves in the ring,” Bliss, 33, exclusively told Us Weekly. “We were chain wrestling around. He was actually pretty good. He did a whole entrance. He was having the best time.”

That was, however, until the next morning.

“He was laying in an Epsom salt bath and he goes, ‘This is horrible,’” Bliss recalled. “He said, ‘I’m bruised from the ropes. I always respected what you guys did, but now I have a newfound respect for what you guys do because of how painful this is.’”

Despite the rough aftereffects, Bliss said “never say never” about Cabrera, 43, tag teaming with her. In fact, Bliss even has even cooked up a potential dream match for the couple.

“It would be fun to maybe do a match between me and Ryan and The Miz and Maryse,” Bliss said, referencing the pro wrestling power couple.

Bliss and Cabrera got married in April 2022 and welcomed their first baby, daughter Hendrix, in November 2023.

After Bliss made her WWE return at the Royal Rumble in February, she said balancing her career with Cabrera’s touring schedule has become a “ridiculous” endeavor.

“We have three different calendars,” Bliss explained. “There’s all different colors.”

She added, “We actually have a really great schedule right now. Ryan tours every weekend. I’m on the road every weekend. Hendrix goes with me and our friend Joey, who helps me with her on the weekends. So we’re both on the road at the same time and come home on the same day.”

Bliss explained how Hendrix has become very used to life on the road — even if it means a lot more work for her mom.

“Babies need so much stuff,” Bliss said of her travel arrangements. “I went from carrying one checked bag and one carry-on to, like, five checked bags, a bag of toys, a stroller bag, a car seat bag, a travel bassinet. The room explodes with baby stuff everywhere we go.”

Bliss added, “When we’re at the show, she gets a room in the arena so we can keep her in there. She has her whole set up and she loves it. She loves watching the shows.”

Hendrix will be in attendance when Bliss teams with Charlotte Flair to challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the WWE women’s tag team titles on Night 1 of SummerSlam on Saturday, August 1, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

“We’re having fun,” Bliss said of her allegiance with Flair, 39. “It’s lonely at the top. Not everyone’s gonna like you. For her, it’s about having fun and opening up and being herself. The more we are able to play with that dynamic, the more people connect with us.”

WWE’s two-night SummerSlam airs live on Peacock Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, at 7 p.m. ET.
