Netflix rarely has a week without multiple options for subscribers to binge, but this week’s selections are especially eclectic.
Instead of a big-name original drama or comedy, the shows that are becoming hits on Netflix right now are series that might have otherwise flown under the radar.
The Watch With Us team has assembled the three underrated Netflix shows to watch this weekend, and there are some surprising selections.
The first show goes after people who use romance to swindle would-be partners, while the second show is a romantic drama set against the backdrop of a rodeo. Our third series for the week is loosely based on a true crime story from Mexico.
‘Love Con Revenge’ (2025)
If you know the name Cecilie Fjellhøy at all, it’s probably because she was a victim of the infamous Tinder Swindler. That kind of defined her life for years until Fiellhoy joined private investigator Brianne Joseph for Netflix’s Love Con Revenge.
This is a series that feels a lot like MTV’s Catfish, as the victims realize that they’ve been taken for a ride by their would-be romantic partners. Netflix may not be able to punish these criminals for crimes of the heart, but it can help their victims find new leads and then prosecute them.

‘A Thousand Tomorrows’ (2025)
Netflix may not have Yellowstone under its umbrella, but it’s cornering the market on shows and movies that are kind of like that Taylor Sheridan franchise. A Thousand Tomorrows also has a lot of thematic similarities to the movie Broke, but this miniseries predates it by two years.
The show is based on Karen Kingsbury‘s best-selling novel and features Colin Ford and Rose Reid in the leading roles. Ford plays Cody Gunn, a rodeo bull rider who meets and falls for a barrel racer, Ali Daniels (Reid). There are undeniable romantic sparks between them, but Ali’s life has been defined by serious health problems that may crush their emerging love before it can fully bloom into something that lasts.

‘The Dead Girls’ (2025)
If you were to judge The Dead Girls solely by its first episode, you might think that this is a show about the destructive love-hate relationship between Serafina Baladro (Paulina Gaitán) and her lover, Simón Corona (Alfonso Herrera). And it is, but the most important relationship in the show isn’t between Serafina and Simon — it’s between Serafina and her sister, Arcángela Baladro (Arcelia Ramírez).
The Baladro sisters have figured out how to make sex work into a lucrative industry for themselves in Mexico. Unfortunately, their girls keep dying under very suspicious circumstances, and they have trouble hiding or disposing of the bodies. That means they need to lean heavily on Simon to help them. And when Simon has had enough, his rejection spurs a murderous rage in Serafina’s heart.
