TLC’s hit series Baylen Out Loud is coming back for a season 2 — with a lot of exciting things in store.
On Tuesday, September 9, TLC confirmed that the show, which follows a 23-year-old girl who lives with Tourette syndrome named Bayleen Dupree, will return on Tuesday, October 7.
In season 2 of the series, Baylen and her fiancé, Colin Dooley, who got engaged in February, deal with the challenges of moving in together in a new city and wedding planning.
“What if we can’t have our dream wedding?” Baylen asks Colin in the season 2 trailer. “I would be devastated.”
On top of dealing with trying to make their big day perfect, Baylen continues to manage her tics while moving to a new city and making new friends — and learning more about herself in the process.
Baylen, who now has amassed 10.8 million followers on TikTok, rose to fame documenting her journey with Tourette syndrome on social media.
According to Mayo Clinic, Tourette’s is a disorder that involves repetitive movements or unwanted sounds that can’t be easily controlled.
Season 1 of Baylen Out Loud, which aired in January, further explored Baylen’s life living with Tourette’s.
“I would say that establishing my independence is definitely in each episode [of Baylen Out Loud],” Baylen told Us Weekly in January. “There’s a milestone or some type of achievement or some type of something that I’m learning or trying to grow from in each episode and just kind of trying to figure out life and just figure out myself and just figure out how I’m going to do certain things is definitely impactful.”
Baylen noted that she hopes that “someone else can look” at the things she’s gone through and “be like, ‘I can be independent too. I can do this,’ regardless of if they have Tourette or they’re neurodivergent or not.”
“I am hoping that people take away a lot and a lot of information from Tourette and a lot of information about tick disorders and everything like that,” she explained. “In general, I just want to impact and inspire other people regardless of whether it’s the next generation or past generations that may not have too much knowledge on Tourette. Just trying to inspire people to be themselves and just no matter what they’re going through, just keep going through it because in order to grow you have to be uncomfortable.”
Baylen Out Loud season 2 will premiere on TLC on Tuesday, October 7, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
