Yes, Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd are officially a thing.
Bueckers, 23, confirmed their relationship in an interview with WAG Talk at a WNBA All-Star event on Thursday, July 17.
The interview, shared via TikTok, featured the Dallas Wings rookie answering trivia questions about her “D-I girlfriend.” The two have been virtually inseparable since Bueckers’ freshman year when Fudd, 22, was a senior in high school, so it should be no surprise that Bueckers correctly answered all but one question. (What WNBA team drafted Fudd’s mom? Answer: Sacramento Monarchs.)
But it was the final question that everyone was waiting for.
“Girlfriend reveal: it’s … ,” the interviewer prompted.
“Azzi Fudd,” Bueckers replied with a smile.
While this is the first time either has said publicly that they are dating, fans have been onto them for years. Speculation reached a fever pitch in June when Fudd shared a photo via her Instagram Story that showed her phone case, which had “Paige Bueckers’ girlfriend” printed on it.
Throughout Bueckers’ first WNBA season, Fudd has shown up at multiple Wings games to support her. The two were even photographed holding hands after a game on July 8. Two days later, photos went viral of the two wearing matching “A” and “P” necklaces.
It’s not hard to see why Bueckers and Fudd have been able to sustain a relationship through the rigors of Division I — and now professional — basketball, college life, countless endorsement deals, media engagements and more. They were both ranked the No. 1 recruit in their class out of high school, both committed to the University of Connecticut and their career arcs have been strikingly similar.
They each entered college with sky-high expectations and enjoyed immediate success as freshmen. They were also both sidelined with multiple injuries for extended stretches, leading to speculation that both would struggle to stay healthy and ultimately be busts in the pros.
Their time as UConn teammates, however, ended on the highest note possible. The Huskies blew out South Carolina in the 2025 National Championship game, avenging their title game loss from Fudd’s freshman season in which the rookie was battling illness and was clearly not herself. This time, Fudd scored 24 points in the championship game and was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player.
A week later, Fudd and her teammates were in New York to see Bueckers selected No. 1 overall to the Wings in the WNBA Draft. Bueckers is an All-Star in her first season, while Fudd is headed back to the Huskies with her eyes on a repeat.
