A Lok Adalat, or People's Court, is a voluntary, alternative dispute resolution body in India that provides a speedy, cost-effective, and informal way for parties to settle disputes through conciliation and compromise. It is established under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.

Lok Adalat is held every year to ease the burden on Courts with amicable settlement of cases. This provides opportunity to Delhi drivers to clear their dues of pending challans at lower cost. The next Lok Adalat is scheduled to be held on December 13, 2025.
