Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and his wife, Christen Harper Goff, have added a new member to their pride.
The couple announced the arrival of their first baby, daughter Romy Isabelle, via Instagram on Tuesday, July 15. In a joint post, Jared, 30, and Christen, 32, shared a carousel of black-and-white photos from the delivery room.
The NFL star and the model revealed their pregnancy news in February when she debuted her baby bump at the NFL Honors in New Orleans, wearing a figure-hugging brown floor-length dress on the red carpet as she cradled her growing belly.
Later that night, ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington confirmed via X that the couple were expecting baby No. 1.
“Congratulations to Christen and Jared Goff, who will welcome their first baby this offseason! Christen and Jared are here on the red carpet for NFL Honors, where Jared is nominated for MVP and Man of the Year,” Darlington wrote at the time. “An exciting time for two amazing people who will make such great parents.”
Harper and Goff also spoke to People on the red carpet about sharing the news with the world.
“It’s kind of a hard secret to keep for so long,” she explained. “It’s just fun to have everybody know and we’re all on the same page, and I can just openly be excited about this exciting journey that’s ahead of us.”
Harper added: “Next year, we’ll have an extra little supporter, which will be so fun. It will be a good distraction for me on game day to have something else to take care of, other than stressing out about the field.”
Since the little one was due during the NFL offseason, Harper noted she and Goff were “excited to enjoy this special time together and just soak up every second.”
On finding out she was pregnant, Harper described the experience as “something so special.”
“I feel like no one can prepare you for that moment,” she shared. “And just when you find out, it’s just shock and excitement and all of the things.”

Goff, for his part, told People that he has “always dreamt” of becoming a dad.
“I know it’ll add a new perspective to life, and it’ll be great,” he said, gushing that Harper will be the “best mom” to their new addition. “I can’t wait to watch her be a mom.”
Goff and Harper met on the Raya dating app in 2019. The pair announced their engagement in June 2022 and tied the knot in June 2024.
