Hilary Duff, Vanessa Hudgens and more former Disney stars have started families since their younger years on Disney Channel.
Hudgens confirmed via her Instagram Stories in July 2024 that she gave birth to her and her husband Cole Tucker’s first baby.
“Mom, Dad and baby are happy and healthy,” Hudgens wrote via Instagram at the time.
Hudgens revealed her pregnancy in March 2024 on the red carpet at the Oscars wearing a form-fitting black turtleneck Vera Wang gown. The first-time mom showed off her bump by posing with her hands on her belly.
That same year, Duff welcomed baby No. 3 with husband Matthew Koma in May 2024. (The Lizzie McGuire alum shares daughters Banks and Mae with Koma, as well as son Luca with ex-husband Mike Comrie.)
“Townes Meadow Blair, now we know why she made us wait so long … She was perfecting those Cheeks!” Duff wrote via Instagram at the time. “I have been dreaming of holding you in my arms for months and the past 5 days of getting to know you, stare at you and smell you have been pure moments of magic. We all love you like you’ve been here all along beauty.”

Duff reflected on her difficulties as a first-time parent on the “Motherly” podcast in June 2019.
“I always knew I wanted to be a mom,” Duff shared at the time. “I always knew that was going to be my No. 1 priority in life. So I felt ready on some fronts and a little scared on others, but really I only got scared once I was pregnant, thinking, like, ‘Oh, this is actually really happening. What if this? What if that?’”

The Lizzie McGuire star welcomed her first child, son Luca Cruz, in 2012 with ex-husband Comrie. After their split in 2014, Duff began dating Koma in 2017 and the two tied the knot in December 2019. They welcomed their daughters, Banks Violet and Mae James, in October 2019 and March 2021, respectively. In May 2024, the pair welcomed their third daughter together, Townes Meadow.
Lindsay Lohan started her Disney career as a child actor in the 1998 film The Parent Trap. Hudgens rose to fame portraying Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical trilogy from 2006 to 2008. The actress married MLB shortstop Cole Tucker in December 2023, and they announced the birth of their first child in July 2024. One year later, she revealed that she is pregnant again.
Before portraying Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical franchise, Ashley Tisdale gained success as Maddie Fitzpatrick on the Disney Channel sitcom The Suite LIfe of Zack & Cody (2005 to 2008). The Phineas and Ferb voice actress married singer Christopher French in 2014. The couple welcomed daughter Jupiter in March 2021 and announced in March 2024 that they were expecting baby No. 2. Daughter Emerson arrived in September 2024.
Tiffany Thornton starred as Tawni Hart on Sonny With a Chance and reprised the role in the sketch comedy spinoff So Random!. She also appeared on the Disney Original Hatching Pete. Thornton married the late musician Christopher Carney in November 2011 and welcomed sons Kenneth and Bentley in 2012 and 2014, respectively. In 2015, Carney died in a car accident. Thornton tied the knot with worship pastor Josiah Capaci in October 2017 and they have two daughters, Juliet and Kimber, born in 2018 and 2021, respectively.
Kyla Pratt voiced Penny Proud on the Disney animated series The Proud Family and reprised the role on the revival The Proud Family: Louder and Louder on Disney+. Pratt started dating rapper Danny Kirkpatrick in 2008. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Lyric, in November 2010 and second daughter Liyah in August 2013.
Kaycee Stroh is best known for her role as Martha Cox in the High School Musical films. The Disney alum also appeared on the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Stroh married Ben Higginson in January 2009 and welcomed daughters Zetta and Lettie in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
Danielle Panabaker started her acting career in the Disney TV films Stuck in the Suburbs (2004) and Read It and Weep (2006) as well as on the big screen in Sky High (2005). Panabaker married longtime boyfriend Hayes Robbins in June 2017 and they have two children who were born in 2020 and 2022.
Brenda Song started her acting career as a child and had already landed a couple roles before starring in the Disney Channel original film The Ultimate Christmas Present (2000). She went on to earn popularity starring in Get a Clue (2002), Stuck in the Suburbs (2004) and Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior (2006). Song’s most well-known Disney role is as London Tipton in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and its spinoff, The Suite Life On Deck.
The actress has been in a relationship with actor Macaulay Culkin since 2017. After welcoming their first child, son Dakota, in April 2021, the couple announced their engagement in early 2022. That December, Song gave birth to their second son.
Aly Michalka rose to prominence as Keely Teslow on the series Phil of the Future. She starred in the Disney Channel original movie Now You See It… (2005) and opposite her sister, AJ Michalka, in Cow Belles (2006). Aly married film producer Stephen Ringer in June 2015 and they welcomed son Jack in April 2024.
Kirsten Storms is best known to DCOM fans for her starring role as Zenon Kar in the Zenon trilogy. She also played Emily in Johnny Tsunami (1999) and voiced Bonnie Rockwaller on the series Kim Impossible. Storms secretly wed her General Hospital costar Brandon Barash in June 2013 and they welcomed daughter Harper Rose in January 2014. Storms and Barash filed for divorce in 2016 but agreed to co-parent their daughter.
Bridgit Mendler’s first Disney role was as Juliet van Heusen on Wizards of Waverly Place (2009 to 2012). She went on to star as Teddy Duncan on Good Luck Charlie (2010 to 2014) and as Olivia White in the film Lemonade Mouth (2011). Mendler announced her marriage to Griffin Cleverly in October 2019 via Instagram. In February 2024, Mendler announced they had adopted a 4-year-old boy around Christmas 2022, whom they started fostering in 2021.
Ashley Leggat starred as Casey McDonald on the series Life With Derek, which also aired on Disney Channel from 2005 to 2009. Leggat married hockey player Jeremy Williams in 2011 and welcomed their first daughter, Olivia, in 2017. The couple welcomed two more daughters in 2019 and 2022.
Known for her roles as Ashley Dewitt on Hannah Montana and Ella Pador in Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010), Anna Maria Perez de Tagle married Scott Kline Jr. in June 2019. She announced her pregnancy with their first child in December 2020 and they welcomed daughter Amelia in June 2021.
