Germany's inflation expected to touch 5-month high of 2.2% in July

  • Germany’s annual consumer price inflation rose to 2.2% in July 2025, up from 2% in June and above market expectations of 2.1%.

  • It was the highest rate since March, after two months at the ECB’s 2% target.

  • The Consumer Price Index in Germany increased 0.10% in August of 2025 over the previous month.
