Gia Giudice Says Kody Brown Wasn’t the ‘Best Team Player’ on ‘Special Forces’

After sparking feud speculation, Kody Brown and Gia Giudice are shedding some insight into their relationship on Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test season 4.

Giudice, 24, made headlines last month for hinting there was conflict between her and another celebrity — seemingly Brown, 56 — on the show. Us Weekly asked the Real Housewives of New Jersey personality about the Sister Wives star this week.

“I was just saying people, obviously, had some issues with him,” she explained. “There were just scenarios — which you guys will see on Special Forces — where, maybe, he wasn’t being the best team player and he wasn’t looking out for the people who were on his team and more so just looking out for himself and the end goal to win.”

She continued, “When you have other people on your team, we’re trying our best and we’re struggling a little bit. Let us catch our breath, we lost this one already, let’s just make it up the hill smoothly. There were just some things where I think a couple of the cast members were like, ‘OK.’”

Despite the potential hiccups, Teresa Giudice’s daughter declared that there’s “no beef” between them.

“I think we’re all kind of just like, ‘It’s OK.’ But I wouldn’t say that he was the best team player in certain situations,” she said. “I think he was trying to be and then at certain points things would pop out and then they would get some people a little annoyed. But we really had such an amazing cast.”

Gia shared that Brown “did help” her during some of the challenges. “No matter what, we all stuck together,” she said. “In the end, we were all looking out for each other.”

Brown shared a similar sentiment, sharing with Us that he doesn’t think he and Gia had a “clash” on the reality TV show but hinted there was some tension while filming.

“I am Gen X and half the cast was Gen Z,” he explained. ”I felt like I got along. I honestly felt like I got along with Gia. There was a point where we’re forced to make a choice about something and I just got as deadly honest about it as I could.”

While remaining tight-lipped on specifics, Brown noted that he “didn’t know what else to do” about the situation with Gia.

“I didn’t know how to handle certain things and I didn’t know how to manage confrontation afterwards about, ‘Why did you pick me?’” he said. “We live in a modern world. There’s things I cannot say. Just because you remind me of my daughter and I wouldn’t ever let her get on that plane. … It is a tough world. It’ll surprise you who is strong in some places and who’s weak in places you wouldn’t have expected them to be.”

While Gia and Brown’s relationship will play out on the show, she made it clear that her closest bond is with season 4 cast member Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.

“I could not have done it without her. We really motivated each other and stuck it through together,” Gia said during an August episode of her “Casual Chaos” podcast. “She’s amazing. She is one of my friends for life.”
