The main event is celebrated at the Red Fort, where PM Modi hoists the Tricolour and addresses the nation. This will be Modi's second address to the country since returning to power for the third consecutive term.

The ceremony starts at 7.30 AM with the official address. It usually begins with dignitaries extending cordial greetings, then a 21-gun salute and the energetic Jana Gana Mana music, which is frequently accompanied by a shower of flowers from Indian Air Force helicopters above.
