JSW MG Motor slashes prices on Astor, Hector, Gloster SUVs following GST rate cut

After the reduction in GST rates, many automakers, including Tata Motors, Mahindra, and Hyundai, have slashed the prices of their vehicles, giving a Diwali gift to customers. Now, following this trend, JSW MG Motor has also announced significant festive discounts by lowering the prices of its ICE models.

Passing on the full benefit of the recent reduction in GST rates by the government to the customers, the company has significantly reduced the prices of its popular ICE (petrol/diesel) SUV range – Astor, Hector and Gloster. This price cut has come into effect from September 7. This means that now customers will get direct savings of up to Rs 3.04 lakh on booking MG's powerful SUV.

"The government’s decision to rationalise GST is a good move that directly addresses the affordability challenge for car buyers and builds positive consumer sentiment. By extending the full benefit of this reform across our SUV portfolio, we want to ensure customers experience the immediate value of this change," said Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India.

"At a time when demand is set to strengthen, especially around the festive season, our focus is on making our SUVs — Astor, Hector, and Gloster — more accessible and attractive. More than just passing on the benefits, this move reinforces trust, enables easier ownership, and encourages more customers to embrace MG," he said.
