Klay Thompson Picked Out Megan Thee Stallion’s Outfit for Golf Date

Klay Thompson may be known for his success on the basketball court, but he’s no slouch on the golf course either — and he’s even showing girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion the ropes, offering advice on her swing and her course fit.

Megan, 30, chronicled a golf date with Thompson, 35, via an Instagram Reel on Wednesday, July 23, and the two appear to be enjoying their time together.

Before they left for the course, Thompson presented her with a few outfit options, including pink and black skirts, what he called a purple top (“It’s lavender, babe,” Megan corrected him), and a white shirt.

Thompson, for his part, went with a light blue polo, dark shorts and a black cap. Megan called his outfit “so cute.”

“We’re going to a nine-hole golf course and we’re going to have the time of our lives,” the Dallas Mavericks veteran announced to the camera.

When the video cut to the course, Academy Sports + Outdoors in Arkansas, the two were in a golf cart, with Megan having opted for the white shirt and pink skirt. Thompson made sure to implore his girlfriend to tell her followers how well he was playing, adding “I’m in the zone.”

As their outing continued, Thompson couldn’t get enough of Megan’s outfit.

“You even got the cute shoes on [and] the shirt. I did well,” he said. “I’m really proud of myself.”

The video also featured Thompson showing off his own game, tutoring Megan on her swing and tallying up his score, in awe of his own success.

“Ever since I’ve been in love, my golf game’s reaped all the benefits,” he said.

Thompson and Megan confirmed their romance earlier in July when they each posted photos and videos of each other via Instagram. They made their red carpet debut four days later on July 16 at Megan’s Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala. (Megan started the organization in 2022 to support women, children, seniors and underserved communities in her hometown of Houston, Texas.)

“Well, it feels incredible because Megan is such a special person and she inspires so many around the world. I’ve seen it firsthand. This is just another incredible feat of hers to be able to give back, create foundation and raise a ton of money for those in need. And I’m honored to be here by her side,” Thompson exclusively told Us Weekly at the event.

“She has never been put in a box or allowed herself to be in a box, and she just continues to inspire so many people around the world,” he added “And, on top of that, raise a ton of money this evening and just do so much for so many in need.”
