Kristin Cavallari is ready to jump back into the dating world.
“I don’t know the last time I talked about my dating life,” Cavallari, 38, said on the Tuesday, October 21, episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast. “Probably because my dating life was nonexistent this whole year until recently, and now it’s really picked back up, and I’m really excited about it.”
Although The Hills alum “really didn’t date” for the first eight months of the year, she recently had a change of heart.
“I literally said to the universe, ‘I’m ready to go on a date,’” she recalled to best friend Justin Anderson. “The next day, I got a phone call from my agent who set me up with a coach, which is also funny because Patti Stanger came on my podcast and said, ‘You should go out with coaches.’”
While Cavallari wasn’t ready to reveal the name of her date or what team he coaches for, she told listeners “he’s a big deal” — even though she initially didn’t know who he was.
“He is represented by CAA. So am I. Our two agents made it happen,” she explained. “He flew to Nashville, took me to dinner, such a great guy.”
So is Cavallari officially off the market? Not so fast. Although the Laguna Beach alum had a nice meal, she realized it “just wasn’t right.”
“I know after the first date if I’m going to like someone or not,” she explained. “I was trying to make it work, and I kept talking to him, and I was going to see him again and everything in me was telling me not to.”
Cavallari continued, “When I’m out of alignment for what is meant for me, everything in my body screams at me. He is such a good guy. I enjoyed talking to him. … It just wasn’t right.”
Cavallari was married to Jay Cutler for nearly seven years before they split in 2020. The exes — who share three children — had their divorce finalized two years later.
While Cutler, 42, has moved on by getting engaged to Samantha Robertson in November 2024, Cavallari is continuing her search for a second chance at love. (She was last linked to Special Forces contestant Mark Estes.)
In her latest podcast, the Uncommon James founder explained why she took a pause from dating for much of 2025.
“I was intentional about it because leading up to the podcast tour, I didn’t want any distractions,” she explained. “Then, honestly, it was just kind of nice and I was just in a mode of wanting to be alone and focus on work and kids.”
One exciting project Cavallari has in the works is a Laguna Beach reunion. Earlier this month, the MTV reality star traveled to Orange County, California to shoot a special with Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti and other high school classmates.
”Everyone can put away their team Lauren and team Kristin shirts now,” Cavallari wrote via Instagram on October 11 after posing with Conrad, 39.
The special is expected to premiere on Roku in 2026.
