Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky have celebrated their love for one another — both publicly and in private — since revealing their relationship in 2019.
Two months after the pair were seen spending New Year’s Eve together in December 2019, Us Weekly exclusively confirmed that Polansky attended Gaga’s Super Bowl performance in February 2020.
Gaga (whose real name is Stefani Germanotta) and Polansky celebrated their first Valentine’s Day together that same month. While a source told Us that they were “having fun,” it wasn’t long until things got serious.
The duo spent a lot of time together in quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic in spring 2020.
After Polansky was seen supporting the star during her performance at Joe Biden‘s presidential inauguration in January 2021, a source exclusively shared with Us that he “brings real stability to her life.” The pair confirmed their engagement three years later in summer 2024.

The "Bad Romance" singer was seen kissing the Parker Group CEO on a hotel balcony in Miami before Gaga went Instagram official with Polansky.
“We had so much fun in Miami,” Gaga captioned the cozy snap. “Love to all my little monsters and fans, you’re the best!”
The singer appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe and spoke about how her Born This Way Foundation has plans in the works to help people with mental health amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“With Born This Way Foundation, my mother, Cynthia Germanotta, and our cofounder Maya [Enista Smith], who I love so very much — they are working with my, the love of my life, on something for mental health,” Gaga said.
The "Just Dance" singer walked hand-in-hand with Polansky as they attended President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ inauguration rehearsal.
“Michael really is a great guy. He’s down-to-earth, smart and focused on his businesses,” an insider told Us, noting that Polansky is “not dating Gaga for the fame.”
Polansky “brings real stability to her life,” the source added. “When they’re together, they are always touching, giggling and it’s obvious they really love each other.”
Gaga received a giant gesture of love from her boyfriend in Rome as she filmed House of Gucci.
“When your bf sends you all the flowers in Rome for your birthday,” the musician, 35, captioned an Instagram photo of the gift on March 28. “I love you honey 💕.”
In the photo, the actress hugged a big basket of white roses and green flowers while wearing a matching pink sweater and pants. Gaga added: “I can’t wait to be home with you and our dogs, that’s all I need.”
Gaga and Polansky shared a memorable evening when they attended the 2022 BAFTAs and 2022 Critics' Choice Awards — on the same night.
The couple shared a sweet, albeit embarrassing, moment at the BAFTAs when host Rebel Wilson presented the Harvard grad with a golden bra for being the singer’s plus one for the evening. The A Star Is Born actress put her face in her hands at the time.
The musician seemed to confirm her engagement to Polansky while attending the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. In footage shared via Instagram, Gaga spoke to Prime Minister of France Gabriel Attal and introduced Polansky as “my fiancé, Michael.”
Gaga later revealed how Polansky popped the question, telling BBC in March 2025, “Michael actually proposed to me with these blades of grass.”
She shared, “A long time ago, we were in the backyard, and he asked me, ‘If I ever proposed to you, like, how do I do that?’ And I just said, ‘Just get a blade of grass from the backyard and wrap it around my finger and that will make me so happy.’”
The proposal inspired her song “Blade of Grass” off her sixth studio album, Mayhem.
The couple shared rare comments about their relationship in Gaga’s cover interview for Elle’s February 2025 issue. “Accepting that you won’t have the privacy others might have was the hardest part,” Polansky said of adjusting to his fiancée’s fame. “But Stefani’s comfort with it and patience with me has been amazing. Our relationship is probably a lot like everyone else’s. We just have to figure out how to do some of it in public. That makes it even more important for us to have strong friendships and close family relationships. We find normalcy where we can.”
Gaga added that she and her partner enjoy quiet nights in. “We make pasta together; we roast things,” she told the outlet. “We also really like making simple dishes with Michael’s mom, who lives nearby.”
The pop star and Polansky have also discussed how they’d like to raise any children they might one day have. “That’s something Michael and I have talked about a lot — allowing our kids to be their own people,” Gaga explained. “It’s such an intense thing for kids coming into the world. And they’re told how to think and what to believe in and how to eat … I just kind of want to let my kids find out who they are.”
During one of her New York City shows, Gaga told the audience how Polansky hyped her up prior to her performance. “Right before I came onstage, my fiancé, Michael, said, ‘When you go out there, let them fill you up,’” she said, detailing Polansky’s pep talk.
After winning Artist of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, Gaga thanked Polansky in a sweet shout-out. “Thank you Little Monsters, my fans, for always supporting me and always supporting the monster in me and to my partner in all things, Michael,” she said during her acceptance speech on September 7. “Creating this year with you was a beautiful, beautiful dream, and you have been my partner every step of the way. I dedicate this to you, my love.”
Gaga, who won four awards total that evening, gave a rare glimpse at her relationship with Polansky the following day via an Instagram tribute.
“Dreaming up this album, making the plan, building every vision with you — talking endlessly about what we would create and do for monsters has been an experience I could not have ever imagined,” she captioned the September 8 post, thanking her partner for his help on Mayhem. “I love how much you love my fans and want them to be happy🖤 it fills my heart with happiness how much you love them because we get to love them every day together — you care as much as I do about people feeling seen in the world.”
She gushed, “I'm forever grateful for how much you love and fight for me. You work so so hard with me from dawn till dusk everyday living the music, performances, and plans with your blood sweat and tears — to see it through every step of the way this year I am the luckiest girl alive. I love you endlessly.”
Gaga called Polansky “a true renaissance man,” who has shown her a love she’s “never known” by being a creative partner in life and love. “You are MY artist of the year. And the love of my life,” she concluded.
