After winning big at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga gave a shout-out to her personal “artist of the year,” fiancé Michael Polansky.
“Dreaming up this album, making the plan, building every vision with you — talking endlessly about what we would create and do for monsters has been an experience I could not have ever imagined,” Gaga, 39, captioned a rare Instagram tribute to Polansky, 41, shared on Monday, September 8.
The musician — who took home four trophies at the VMAs on Sunday, September 7, including Artist of the Year — noted how much Polansky’s support has contributed to her success.
“I love how much you love my fans and want them to be happy,” Gaga continued. “It fills my heart with happiness how much you love them because we get to love them every day together — you care as much as I do about people feeling seen in the world.”
Gaga, whose Mayhem album dropped in March, revealed that Polansky has been her rock on and off stage since they began dating.
“I’m forever grateful for how much you love and fight for me,” she gushed. “You work so so hard with me from dawn till dusk everyday living the music, performances, and plans with your blood sweat and tears — to see it through every step of the way this year I am the luckiest girl alive. I love you endlessly.”
Gaga explained that having Polansky’s “creative partnership” in art, business and love is “a love I’ve never known.”
“I know you to be a man of many talents, a true renaissance man, your mind and kind heart are what make you shine,” the Grammy winner said of her partner. “I have seen there’s nothing you can’t do. You are MY artist of the year. And the love of my life. Thank you for making all our MAYHEM dreams come true I love you.”
Gaga, who shared two photos in honor of her love with Polansky, concluded by telling her fans that one of the pictures is currently on display “by our bedside.”
Gaga was first linked to Polansky on New Year’s Eve in 2019, before going public with their relationship in February 2020.
The “Bad Romance” singer confirmed her engagement while attending the summer Olympics in Paris in 2024. According to footage from her meeting with the Prime Minister of France, Gabriel Attal, Gaga introduced Polansky as “my fiancé.”
Earlier this month, Gaga celebrated her relationship with Polansky during her VMAs acceptance speech.
“Thank you Little Monsters, my fans, for always supporting me and always supporting the monster in me and to my partner in all things, Michael,” she said on Sunday from UBS Arena in New York. “Creating this year with you was a beautiful, beautiful dream, and you have been my partner every step of the way. I dedicate this to you, my love.”
