Nikki Garcia admitted she was a little “bummed” that most of her scenes were cut from Happy Gilmore 2, but she enjoyed the experience nonetheless.

The WWE star, 41, talked about seeing the final cut for the first time during the Thursday, July 24, episode of SiriusXM’s “The Nikki & Brie Show” with twin sister Brie Garcia.

“I remember hearing a few months ago that 20 minutes was going to have to be cut out, and I’ve been praying that it wouldn’t be my stuff,” Nikki told her twin. “Well, guess what? All of my talking stuff got cut. And not just me. It’s the whole group of people I filmed with.”

She continued, “The characters that I had to work with, a majority of our funny scenes got taken out, but I get, when I’m watching the whole thing, for 20 minutes to be taken out and to keep the heart of Happy Gilmore, it had to happen.”

Nikki attended the premiere of Happy Gilmore 2 in New York City on Monday, July 21. Brie asked Nikki whether she found out about the cut scenes as she watched the movie for the first time, and she replied, “Yes.”

“Inside, I was really bummed and devastated,” Nikki admitted.

“Your heart sank,” Brie chimed in.

Nikki said she was “sad” and “red” in the face once she realized her role was limited, but she had nothing but rave reviews for the movie overall.

“Honestly, the movie is so good,” Nikki said. “The movie is so good. It’s the best movie I’ve seen in years. I’m not even just saying that.”

The pair agreed that Adam Sandler, who plays the titular character, has never made a “bad movie.”

Happy Gilmore 2 was awesome,” Nikki reflected. “I laughed the whole time. The crowd laughed the whole time, and there are people that appear who crush it.”

Nikki told her sister she was going to “cry-laugh” once she saw the movie. She also said everyone came up to her after the premiere, telling her she looked “beautiful” on camera.

Despite the film’s final cut, Nikki said she wouldn’t trade her Happy Gilmore 2 experience for the world.

“I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, like one of the greatest experiences I have ever had,” she said, adding that the original Happy Gilmore has always been one of her top three favorite movies.

Prior to Happy Gilmore 2, Nikki had never done a feature film before, so she said she enjoyed the new experience. In particular, she loved that she was able to get “so close” to WWE colleague and Happy Gilmore 2 costar Becky Lynch, turning to her for “love, support and advice” throughout their filming experience.

Happy Gilmore 2 is due out on Friday, July 25 on Netflix.
