Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion's Relationship Timeline

Patrick Schwarzenegger and wife Abby Champion have been going strong since 2016. Following his five-month fling with Miley Cyrus in 2015, Schwarzenegger was spotted getting cozy with the model at the West Hollywood hotspot Nice Guy. Champion also accompanied the actor to a birthday bash thrown for his mother, Maria Shriver, before Us Weekly confirmed the duo's relationship status in March 2016. At the time, an insider told Us that the couple had been together for "a while." They made their romance public soon after. Despite their busy schedules, Schwarzenegger and Champion still make date nights a priority whenever possible. "I think we stay in touch obviously through FaceTime and calls ... but it's really not hard," Schwarzenegger told E! News in September 2019. "Being away from each other so often allows us to appreciate the time that we have together and really enjoy it. I'm usually so slammed in the week with work and she's usually traveling so it allows us both to have super fun weekends." The pair made their romance Instagram official shortly after Us confirmed they were dating. 

Champion shared a glimpse of her joint Vogue Spain feature with her beau. 

"I think the best part about having her by my side is that she's always rooting for me and wanting the best for me and bringing out the best in me!" Schwarzenegger gushed to E! News about nurturing his relationship in the spotlight. "I always say that in a relationship, you have to be each other's biggest cheerleader. Build each other up. And she does that for me." 

The twosome got crafty in the kitchen while celebrating Easter. "THIS CAKE TOOK US 6 HOURS!!" Schwarzenegger revealed via Instagram. "We burnt 1 cake, 1 was filled too high & dripped everywhere & destroyed the oven... We also got in 2 arguments during It!! And yeah.... Was SO FUN!"

The duo got all dressed up to attend the 2020 CMA Awards.

"Happy 25th birthday @abbychampion," the Moxie actor captioned a sweet tribute to his partner. "Love this girl so much!! Such a hard worker. So beautiful. Faithful. Drinks 2 cups of coffee! Loves ice cream. Loves her sugary cocktails. Loves Jesus & America too. Can't wait till your [sic] back in town." 

The couple jetted off to Capri, Italy, for a summer getaway.  

Champion celebrated Schwarzeneggers’ 30th birthday with a sweet Instagram tribute.

“Happy birthday to my sweet, handsome, hardworking, and goofy boyfriend!” she wrote at the time. “I love you so much! 🎂💕🧁🎈”

The couple announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post. “💍❤️FOREVER AND EVER ❤️💍,” they wrote.

“Happy 27th Birthday @abbychampion !!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!” Schwarzenegger wrote via Instagram, alongside several snaps of Champion sipping on cocktails. “Can’t wait to celebrate and order off the kids menu !! ❤️❤️.”

Champion celebrated Schwarzenegger’s birthday with a sweet social media post.

“The biggest happy birthday to my partner in crime @patrickschwarzenegger I love doing life with you,” she wrote.

The couple celebrated Christmas in DisneyLand

Schwarzenegger revealed that he and Champion are not in a rush to get married during an interview with InStyle.

“We've been together [for] 10 years, so it's like we're basically married,” he said. “But we're better as humans together than we would be apart. We bring out the best in each other. I feel that I'm the best version of myself with her and I think she does as well.”

Champion celebrated Schwarzenegger’s role in season 3 of The White Lotus at the Max show’s premiere. 

She wrote via Instagram alongside photos, “The other night celebrating my movie star being in the new @thewhitelotus so incredibly proud of you and all your hard work @patrickschwarzenegger love watching you accomplish your dreams 🤍🪷.” 

Schwarzenegger celebrated Champion's birthday with a sweet post via Instagram, writing, "Happy birthday to my queen! My ride or die. Crazy to think we fell in love 10 years ago!! So proud of the human you are. You continue to inspire me. I love watching your dedication to your family, friends, faith and your work. It’s been a blessing to be on this journey with you & I can’t wait to watch where life takes us. Have the best day & another fantastic year."

He shared a handful of photos and continued, "PS: I’m gonna get in trouble but the photos at the end are so funny to see now. Love you chomppppp @abbychampion." 

Schwarzenegger and Champion got married in Idaho, according to photos obtained by multiple outlets.

The groom’s mother, Maria Shriver, confirmed the nuptials in her newsletter on September 7, writing, “Although Maria is away this weekend celebrating her son’s wedding (congratulations Patrick and Abby!), we wondered what insights she’d have for all of us when it comes to kicking off this new season with meaning and purpose.”
