People Seen Spraying Baby Oil Outside Courthouse After Diddy Verdict

Onlookers sprayed baby oil into the crowd gathered outside a New York City courthouse on Wednesday, July 2, after a jury found Sean “Diddy” Combs not guilty on three of the five charges he faced in his sex trafficking trial.

Remnants of the baby oil were also seen outside the Daniel Patrick Moynihan U.S. Courthouse on the pavement, according to CNN.

Diddy, 55, was said to have used baby oil during his alleged “freak offs,” or marathon sexual performances, often involving drugs, at the center of many of the allegations against him. Several of Diddy’s assistants testified during the trial that they stocked hotel rooms with baby oil before the freak offs, and hotel records entered into evidence revealed baby oil stains left on the carpets to the rooms Combs used.

Since Diddy’s arrest in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution, he has denied all of the allegations against him. He also pleaded not guilty to each charge.

Baby oil first became part of the conversation around Diddy when large amounts of it were recovered during a search of his Miami and Los Angeles homes in March 2024. Law enforcement seized over 1,000 bottles of the lubricant during the raid, according to an indictment.

“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement following his arrest. “He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

A jury found Diddy guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison for each charge, or 20 years total. He was acquitted on charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

Since his arrest, Diddy has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His four requests for bail were denied by Judge Arun Subramanian.
