The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kelli Ferrell was ordered to stay 30 yards away from a neighbor who claimed she entered her home without permission, Us Weekly can exclusively report. Kelli denied the claims.
On September 2, Monualda Cash filed a petition for a temporary protective order against Ferrell. Ferrell, 40, owns a four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,784 square foot home in Atlanta, Georgia. Cash is an HOA board member.
Cash claimed on August 9, “Kelli Potter-Ferrell aggressively entered my private patio, through my private gate in a violent manner.”
Cash said Ferrell was “accompanied by others.” She added, “This incident occurred after her vehicle was booted for again violating [guidelines] by parking in a narrow driveway which is also a designated fire lane.”
The petition alleged that Ferrell had to be “physically restrained and removed during which time she engaged in bizarre behavior while making a series of irratic (sic) verbal threats. Some of which were clear and others that were unintelligible.” She claimed there was video footage of the incident.
Cash asked the court to order Ferrell to stop harassing and intimidating her, for her to stay away from her and her family and for her to receive appropriate psychiatric and psychological services.
The judge granted a temporary protective order but only ordered Ferrell to stay 30 yards away, most likely since the two are neighbors. A hearing has been set for September 22 on whether the order will become permanent.
A rep for Ferrell tells Us, “Since the announcement of Kelli’s involvement with The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Mrs. Cash has engaged in a concerning pattern of behavior directed at Kelli and her family … Out of respect for all parties, we will not be commenting further at this time. We strongly urge that Kelli’s privacy — and that of her family — be respected, and we caution against the spread of misinformation.”
Kelli debuted as a Real Housewives of Atlanta star in season 16. She is set to return for season 17, which is reportedly in production. Porsha Williams, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton and others are expected to sign on for another season. Brit Eady, who was also a newbie in season 16, will not be returning.
As Us first reported, Ferrell has been fighting her ex-husband, Chuvalo Ferrell, as part of his bankruptcy for the past couple of months.
Chuvalo filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy on January 31, with assets totaling $214,198 and liabilities of $383,231.
Kelli asked that Chuvalo’s proposed repayment plan be rejected by the court due to him allegedly failing to disclose certain judgments.
Kelli’s lawyer alleged, “Clearly, [Chuvalo] is attempting to hide how much money he makes so he would not have to repay as much of his debts, and the [Chuvalo’s] proposed Plan payments does not apply the entirety of his income is left over after necessary living expenses and other financial obligations.”
Chuvalo’s rep adamantly denied the claims in a statement to Us. “[Chuvalo] has complied fully with all court requirements under federal bankruptcy law,” the rep said. “It is deeply troubling that, instead of seeking resolution through appropriate legal channels, [Kelli] continues to publicly attack [Chuavlo] — routinely omitting key facts — seemingly to support a public narrative rather than pursue genuine resolution,” the rep said.
The battle is still ongoing.
