Sofia Richie is dressing up her baby bump in a chic item from her fashion line after sharing the heartwarming news about her growing family.
Richie, 27, announced that she’s expecting her second baby with husband Elliot Grainge on Thursday, October 17, proudly displaying her newfound curves while out and about earlier this week.
On Wednesday, October 167, Richie stepped out in Los Angeles clad in a brown jacket from her fashion brand, SRG Atelier, which she also launched that night. The piece featured a brown body with white spots and a classic collar. She styled it with black pants and a brown clutch, as well as snakeskin heels.
Richie donned a full beat while enjoying an evening stroll, including dewy skin, blushed cheeks, long lashes, winged eyeliner and lined lips. Her blonde highlighted hair was pulled back into an updo with her face-framing pieces left out.
Richie shared that she and Grainge, 31, who already share daughter Eloise, 18 months, are looking forward to welcoming their second child together by snapping a photo of her tummy.
“On my way to launch these babies 👶🏼 + @srgatelier,” she captioned the mirror selfie..
In January 2024, Rochie shared that she wasn’t planning to change her style while she was pregnant with Eloise. “I’m not really tapping into maternity wear for this pregnancy,” she told Vogue.
The designer went on to explain that she was only planning on “sizing up” as her bump grew. “I’m also not buying an entirely new wardrobe for this pregnancy. I’ve bought a few pairs of pants in bigger sizes, but I’m wearing my same jackets, sweats and trenches,” she said.
In the same interview, Richie announced that she was expecting her first baby with Grainge.
“I found out very, very early,” she shared. “I was about four weeks pregnant. I was on a trip to Milan for fashion week, and I was going to the Prada show. I was doing a really quick 24-hour turnaround, and I felt terrible but didn’t think much of it. I thought it was jet lag.”
She recalled being “a few days late” on her period, so she decided to take a pregnancy test.
“Elliot was already used to me taking tests randomly,” she recalled, sharing that she and Graigne were “casually trying” to conceive since their wedding in April 2023.
“He didn’t really flinch when I said I was checking. I was taking one of those really crappy at-home tests, and there was the faintest of lines. I was so used to seeing negatives that I knew when something looked even kind of different,” she said.
After telling Grainge, Richie gushed that her husband was “so excited.”
“We both cried,” she added. “It was crazy and overwhelming and so hard not to scream it from the rooftops. But knowing I was so early, I was so protective — even with my friends.”
The soon-to-be mom of two also shared that she was already shopping for her little one, gushing “I’ve held onto things and thought, ‘Oh my daughter will have this one day.” Richie added, “I have a lot of little bags to pass down. I have a lot in mind.”
