Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted celebrating his latest win with a romantic dinner date in Kansas City.
The couple stepped out at 1587 Prime — the new steakhouse opened by Kelce, 36, and teammate Patrick Mahomes — following the Kansas City Chiefs’ blowout victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, October 19.
In a photo shared via social media, Kelce and Swift, 35, sat across from each other at a table with other guests. Kelce snapped a selfie for the group as Swift gave the camera a soft smile.
The pair were also caught on video, with Kelce working the room and greeting fans. Swift was seen walking through the busy restaurant wearing red and black and carrying a large purse.
Swift and Kelce got engaged in August after two years of dating. While the pop star has become a fixture at Chiefs games since her romance with Kelce began, her appearances at Arrowhead Stadium have been more subtle so far this season. On Sunday, eagle-eyed fans spotted Swift and her dad, Scott, cheering in a private stadium suite. (Her old mine brilliant cut diamond ring still dazzled on full display.)
Following a slow start to the season, the Chiefs defeated the Raiders 31-0, bringing their record to 4-3. Kelce gave his team’s offense a shout-out after the game, telling reporters, “I think it’s just a glimpse of what you’re going to see from here on out. … As long as we all keep playing unselfish and getting excited for each other, sky’s the limit for this group, baby.”
Throughout their relationship, Swift has spoken candidly about not wanting to draw attention away from the work Kelce is doing on the field. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift told TIME Magazine in her 2023 Person of the Year profile. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Swift noted at the time that she has “no idea” when she’s being shown on camera during a game. “I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. … I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
While promoting her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, which dropped earlier this month, Swift shared similar reasoning for why she doesn’t plan on tackling the Super Bowl halftime show anytime soon.
“The whole season, I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field,” she explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Can you imagine if, like, he’s out there every single week putting his life on the line doing this very dangerous, very high-pressure, high-intensity sport and I’m like, ‘I wonder what my choreo should be. I think we should do two verses of ‘Shake It Off’ into ‘Blank Space’ into ‘Cruel Summer.'”
According to Swift, the tight end “would love” to see her perform during the Super Bowl. “This has nothing to do with Travis,” she said. “I’m just too locked in.”
