Hailey Bieber keeps it real.
Bieber, 28, showed the reality of wearing a structured corseted gown at the 2025 Academy Museum Gala on Saturday, October 18.
Following the star-studded event, the Rhode founder took to Instagram on Sunday, October 19, with behind-the-scenes photos, including a snap of her attempting to sit down in the Schiaparelli design.
Bieber leaned in a booth, displaying just how stiff and form-fitting the bodice was, as she was unable to bend her back. She gave the camera a side eye and a soft smile, donning long lashes, blushed cheeks and lined, pink lips.
“Always a beautiful night @academymuseum 🤎,” Bieber captioned the post. Her celebrity friends and fans were quick to compliment her getup in the comments section.
“So hot <3,” Charli XCX gushed, while her makeup artist Mary Phillips added, “Beyond gorgeous.” Yris Palmer commented, “Wow 😍🔥,” as more fans replied with heart-eye emoji.
Her dress featured a chocolate brown bra with white fabric peeking out, attached to a tan bodice that cinched her waist. The rest of Bieber’s look was complete with a dark brown skirt complete with crystal embellishments and a thigh-high slit.
The It Girl styled the piece with ivory heels and diamond jewelry including rings and bracelets. She tied her look together with her brunette hair parted down the middle and styled in a blowout.
Bieber isn’t the only star who has been candid about the struggles of wearing a corset.
In January, Kristen Bell hilariously joked about wearing a corset at the 2025 Golden Globes. In the clip, which was shared via actress Jackie Tohn’s Instagram page, Bell, 45, slowly lowered herself into her seat while wearing a glitter-flecked Ashi Studios look. Attempting to play it cool, Bell rested her arm on the back of her chair while leaning to the side.
“Sit down! Get comfortable!” Tohn, 45, told Bell from behind the camera.
The actress replied, “I can’t!”. She gave the camera a playful thumbs up and ended the clip by winking to viewers.
While her outfit may have been difficult to sit in, Bell still stunned in the sand-colored peplum top paired with a matching floor-length skirt and diamond accessories.
Dua Lipa also struggled to sit in her curve-hugging Schiaparelli gown at the 2024 Golden Globes.
At the time, Lipa, 30, shared LOL-worthy footage of herself trying to take her seat in a Schiaparelli gown, featuring gold embellishments in the shape of a skeleton and a pleated mermaid skirt.
She slowly leaned backwards in her chair, unable to comfortably sit in the restricting construction of her dress. The singer finally gave up and sunk into her seat before giving the cameras a goofy smile.
“Thank you @goldenglobes for such a beautiful night last night — the only thing missing was a reclining chair,” she hilariously captioned the post.
She teamed the high-fashion look with a gold statement necklace. Lipa added a pop of color to her outfit with a bright red manicure, which perfectly coordinated with her hair, which was dyed a crimson hue at the time.
