We’re all familiar with the internet boyfriends — you have your Glen Powells, Jacob Elordis, Timothée Chalamets and beyond — but Us Weekly has our eyes on a more underground group of swoon-worthy rising stars.
They may not always have the lead role, be the team captains or have millions of Instagram followers, but something about these individuals catches our attention and has Us googling them shirtless for more.
We’ve always known Zac Efron has it going on, but Dylan Efron’s unexpected rise to prominence on Traitors had Us looking up his Instagram — only to find it’s stock-full of thirst traps. (Thank you, Dylan Efron.)
Sure, Jalen Hurts is all the rage, but the Eagles’ run to the Super Bowl championship suddenly had Us drooling over Saquon Barkley’s “Saquads” and tuning into the Big Game.
And yes, John B. (a.k.a. Chase Stokes) is the obvious crush on Outer Banks, but series villain Drew Starkey’s nuanced and erotic performance in Queer had Us looking at the actor in a whole new light.

People We Googled Shirtless This Week: The Hottest Rising Stars in Film, TV and Beyond
We’re all familiar with the internet boyfriends — you have your Glen Powells, Jacob Elordis, Timothée Chalamets and beyond — but Us Weekly has our eyes on a more underground group of swoon-worthy rising stars. Mason Gooding is having a moment, and we’re here for it. The 28-year-old Scream star, whose dad is Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr., is back in action with his new buddy comedy Under Fire (on digital now), proving that he’s got the humor, charm and, yes, abs worthy of our search history. Almost distractingly handsome, Gooding also has the kind of star power that lets him nail horror, comedy and action all with killer ease. Consider Us screaming — for all the right reasons.

Daddy’s little heartthrob! When you search “John Owen Lowe shirtless,” you don’t have to go far to get what you’re looking for. “Lowe family tradition: self-indulgent shirtless gym photos,” the actor — and youngest son of Rob Lowe — captioned a pic via Instagram earlier this year. The 29-year-old Stanford alum was nominated by a previous shirtless pick, Skyler Gisondo, and we couldn’t help but agree. Now Us just hopes he continues to follow in his father’s footsteps — at least when it comes to thirst traps. Keep ‘em coming!
He captured our hearts as lovable himbo Jason Mendoza on The Good Place, and Manny Jacinto has proved his range in recent years with roles on the Star Wars spinoff The Acolyte — “Sometimes fans will ask me to choke them,” he recently confessed of viewers’ adoration of his character, the Stranger — and opposite Lindsay Lohan in Freakier Friday. Us is still thinking about — and thirsting over — the 38-year-old actor’s dance sequence in the beloved sequel (if you know, you know)!
Truthfully, Us has been calling Dominic Fike “Daddy” long before he announced that he actually has a kid during his Lollapalooza performance on August 3 — and we’re not mad about it! The singer stripped down to cover Coldplay’s “Yellow” before serenading his son on stage, and suddenly we’re counting down the days ‘til we can see the 29-year-old star back on screen in Euphoria season 3.
We loved him as Wednesday’s happy-go-lucky barista Tyler Galpin, and after the season 1 plot twist, we still love 31-year-old actor Hunter Doohan as a dangerous hyde as well. The season 2 trailer for the hit Tim Burton series gave Us an early glimpse of our creepy crush, and trust that we’ll be binging the episodes all at once to find out the fate of his star-crossed blossoming romance with Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams.

Skyler Gisondo
Nominated by one of our July shirtless honorees Logan Lerman — “He’s a good dude. And I think he’s really hot,” Lerman told Us of his pal — Skyler Gisondo has been on Us’ radar for a minute. So while everyone was ogling David Corenswet’s Superman in the new superhero flick, we couldn’t help but crush on Jimmy Olsen (I mean, that goofy smile!), played by this Booksmart alum. Now, we’re just counting down the days until we can watch Gisondo, 29, star as Ariana Grande’s fiancé in Meet the Parents 4.
Let Us preface this by acknowledging that rooting for Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) over Conrad (Chris Briney) on The Summer I Turned Pretty is currently somewhat of a controversial choice. As fans fight it out over whether the younger Fisher brother actually cheated on Belly (Lola Tung), the rest of Us have been distracted by the 25-year-old actor’s eight-pack abs. Hot fictional guys are not at fault for their show’s storylines, so we hope Belly and Jeremiah can work through it — if only so we get to spend more shame-free time with Casalegno on our screens.
When Logan Lerman’s Isaac tells Molly Gordon’s Iris he doesn’t want a relationship in their new movie, Oh, Hi!, she ties him to a bed until he admits he loves her. Honestly, looking at the actor, we can’t say we blame her (but for legal reasons, we condemn kidnapping, of course). The Percy Jackson and Perks of Being a Wallflower alum, 33, was one of the OG Internet Boyfriends, but between this film and his starring role in Haim’s “Down to Be Wrong” music video, Lerman has Us crushing like it’s 2012 again.
Ah, a hot intoxicated douche whose actions set off an accident that haunts his group of friends a year later. No, we’re not talking about Ryan Philippe in 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, we’re describing his fratty successor, Tyriq Withers, a wide receiver turned actor who stars as Teddy in the latest installment of the slasher franchise. Whatever fate befalls his character in the new flick, don’t worry: we’ll be seeing plenty more of the 27 year old in Jordan Peele’s upcoming movie, Him, and Colleen Hoover’s new film adaptation, Reminders of Him.
From earning his spot as a heartthrob on Riverdale to garnering critical acclaim for his performance in 2023’s May December, 34-year-old actor Charles Melton has been on our radar for a while. But thanks to Coach, who cast the Alaska native in their latest Soho Sneakers campaign, Us got a glimpse at what lies underneath his clothes — and now we can’t stop thinking about his jump rope skills, which he showcased while shirtless and sweaty, of course.
When Nicole Ari Parker’s Lisa Todd Wexley said she was hiring an editor named “Marion” in season 3 of And Just Like That, we were expecting a bookish documentarian, not — as her husband, Herbert, puts it — “Michael B. Handsome.” Of course, we’re rooting for Lisa and Herbert’s happy marriage, but we can’t say we’re disappointed to see 44-year-old Law & Order star Mehcad Brooks enter the mix. Lisa asks Charlotte if it’s OK to have a work crush, and while Us can’t weigh in on the ethics there, we’re certainly right there with you, LTW.
It was love at first serve when 22-year-old tennis phenom Carlos Alcaraz took the court — and ultimately the win! — at the French Open, and Us can’t wait to see what this walking grand slam accomplishes at Wimbledon (he’s the two-time reigning champ in London). In the meantime, while he trains those muscles, we’ll just get our fix of the Spanish athlete by watching his Netflix documentary, My Way. Unless he needs a doubles partner?
This 26-year-old Adults star has been openly campaigning for internet white boy of the month ever since his hit FX show premiered in May — and he’s got our vote! Jack Innanen started on TikTok before making viewers fall in love with him as the golden retriever-coded Paul Baker. A walking green flag with luscious curly hair, his shy smile had Us giggling and kicking our feet from the moment he stepped on screen. Now we just need season 2!

His character Jesse (spoiler alert!) may have perished on The Last of Us, but Young Mazino’s abs will live forever. Mazino previously told Men’s Health that, ahem, beefing up for his role in 2023’s Beef was no small feat. “I was eating so much whey protein — like disgusting amounts,” he admitted. Thankfully, it worked out in his favor. Mazino’s 6-foot stature also helps in the hotness area — and makes Us want to ask for help with pull-ups. Just kidding, we’re happy watching him lift weights from afar.

Who can blame Us for falling for the bad boy? As Ray in Prime Video’s coming-of-age series Motorheads, Drake Rodger gets involved in some unsavory criminal activity. (But he looks so good doing it!) Not to worry, the Winchesters alum tells Us it’s “therapeutic” playing Ray because it’s “very far from who I am in real life, at least I hope.” TBH, we don’t care what the rising star gets up to, as long as he stays on our screens.
If you haven’t stumbled upon the 31-year-old comedian Benito Skinner, a.k.a. @bennydrama7, through his hilarious social media skits or extravagant couples costumes with boyfriend Terrence O’Connor, now’s your chance to see him flex his comedic muscles — and actual muscles — in his new series Overcompensating opposite Connie Britton, Mary Beth Marone, Charli XCX and many more.

Lewis Pullman
If there’s one thing moviegoers can rely on Marvel for, it’s giving Us new guys to thirst over. We went to Thunderbolts* expecting to swoon over Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, yet it was this 32-year-old actor (and son of Bill Pullman!) who really caught our eye. Lewis Pullman plays the mysterious and complicated Bob, and it helps that an early scene had his shirt basically blown to bits, exposing his washboard abs. But Bob is also flawed, powerful, sensitive, dangerous — and has Us counting down to his Avengers: Doomsday return.

The Bear. Daredevil. The Amateur. The Accountant 2. Luckily, we can’t seem to get Jon Bernthal — and the typically villainous but lovable characters he plays — off our screens! Us would like to hand-deliver his agent flowers for keeping Bernthal booked and busy (and occasionally bare-chested). Whether he’s slinging guns or beef sandwiches (Yes, chef!), we’re always Team Jon.
Forget about the peanuts and Cracker Jacks — baseball is back, and we’re focused on this New York Yankees star’s six-pack. Giancarlo Stanton is currently out of the starting lineup with injuries to both of his elbows, but that just gives Us more time to admire him off the field. The 6-foot-6, 245-pound California native is a bonafide Bronx Bomber beefcake. Boy, do we love America’s pastime.
—Dan Trainor, writer
The world first fell in love with Joe Keery as the high school jerk-turned endearing older brother figure Steve Harrington on Stranger Things, but ever since his song “End of Beginning” went viral last year, Us is Djo’s (his stage name, pronounced “Joe”) biggest fan. Heading into festival season, we’re looking forward to seeing Keery perform his new album, Crux, live (and the thirsty edits fans will inevitably make of his shows).
Netflix’s new Western Ransom Canyon brings love, land and handsome cowboys to the forefront — and one in particular caught Us’ eye. Garrett Wareing, a 6-foot-2 actor who plays Lucas on the show, strips down emotionally (and literally) on more than one occasion — but he had no reservations about showing off what he’s got. “All of my friends on set had to see my naked body, but now I guess everybody who has Netflix can see [too],” Wareing, 23, told Us. “But I’m grateful for the chance to embrace myself that way.”
Heart racing, sweat dripping, blood pressure spiking — are you watching Colin Woodell play an emergency medicine doctor on Netflix’s Pulse or are you experiencing an actual medical emergency yourself?! As Xander Philips, the Originals alum takes off his shirt more often than one would think a doctor does — but hey, we’re not complaining!
Snow White didn’t end up with a generic Prince Charming in its live-action remake. Instead, she upgraded to a hot bandit who steals from the rich, played by Tony Award winner Andrew Burnap. While we’ve seen him in Under the Banner of Heaven and WeCrashed, somehow his role in this family-friendly flick had Us looking up his Instagram thirst traps before the credits even rolled. TBH, a magically-induced coma might be worth it to wake up to those blue eyes.

Jay Ellis plays the hot, Buddhist, sometimes-shirtless head coach of the fictional basketball team the Waves opposite Kate Hudson in the new Netflix series Running Point — need we say more?! When he’s not keeping zen on the court, the star (and Top Gun: Maverick alum!) can be seen slinging swords in the upcoming action comedy Freaky Tales alongside Pedro Pascal.
What’s better than one Theo James in a comedy horror flick? Two of them! The British actor is no stranger to flexing his talents and physique in hits like The White Lotus and Divergent, though he really shows off his range by playing a set of vastly different twins in The Monkey. But beware: Oz Perkins’ adaptation of Stephen King’s story is not for the faint of heart. So if you can’t handle gore, maybe stick to ogling James in more familiar territory.
Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time is finally back for season 3, and Us can’t peel our eyes away from fan favorite Maksim, played by Taylor Napier. Whether he’s decked out in the show’s fantasy garb opposite Rosamund Pike or breaking a sweat pumping iron at the gym IRL (as seen on his Instagram), we’re rooting for — and drooling over — Napier.
Like previous installments, the season 3 premiere of The White Lotus gave viewers a taste of the murderous plot to come in a flash-forward scene. And our eyes were fixated on the character at the center of the action: season 1 alum Belinda’s son, Zion, played by Nicholas Duvernay. As we eagerly await to see more of him, we’ll stay busy scrolling the actor’s socials to keep up on his thirst traps, er, Insta snaps.
While fans are mourning the loss of his General Hospital character, Dex Heller — and his steamy, shirtless scenes — Evan Hofer reassures Us that he has some “really fun stuff in the works” for 2025. While that may not include the high-stakes, sweat-inducing plotlines of the soap opera, we’ll happily follow Hofer out of daytime television and into his future endeavors.
As if we didn’t already crush on him from season 2 of The White Lotus or Netflix’s One Day, Leo Woodall is making Us (literally) Mad About the Boy as the hot new love interest — who saves kids from trees and struts shirtless out of a pool in slow motion — in the trailer for the latest Bridget Jones installment.
The 6-foot, 233-pound running back may have joined the Eagles in dramatic fashion after failing to resign with rivals the Giants in 2024, but Us will watch Saquon Barkley and his “Saquads” anywhere they run. The athlete’s successful season with the Philly team — and the crowd-pleasing long touchdown runs — are unfortunately coming to a close post-Super Bowl LIX, and we’ll be mourning by singing “Let Me Love You,” his self-described karaoke song of choice.
Sure, we’ve all been thirsting over Zac Efron for years, but his younger brother Dylan’s run on season 3 of The Traitors made it clear that good genes run in the family. The producer isn’t afraid to share his athletic feats via Instagram — like the above snap — so you won’t have to work that hard on your quest for a shirtless pic. But his time on the Peacock reality series has shown Us that there’s also charm and smarts on top of those washboard abs.
Do we feel great about thirsting over a fictional serial killer? Not really. But the creators behind Dexter: Original Sin left Us no choice by casting Patrick Gibson as a younger version of Michael C. Hall’s Dexter Morgan, a vigilante killer of killers hiding under the cloak of his forensic skills on the Paramount+ series. Sure, the whole murder thing isn’t great, but Gibson is so swoonworthy, he has Us singing Taylor Swift’s “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can).”
If you’re anything like Us, you’ve been waiting with bated breath since the 2021 season 1 finale of Squid Game to see if fan-favorite Jun-ho (played by Wi Ha-joon) would live to see another day. Thankfully, Netflix answered our prayers, bringing the detective — and his six-pack — back for another round of jaw-dropping twists and turns. At least, we think it was dramatic: Us was too busy ogling Ha-joon to keep up with the subtitles.
The rise of Benson Boone was one of the most “Beautiful Things” to come out of 2024. When he’s not flipping out on stage — literally, the singer-songwriter does at least three backflips per performance — or showcasing his powerful vocals, Boone isn’t afraid to flash his six-pack (or is it eight?), typically hiding underneath a rock star-worthy outfit.
From Top Gun: Maverick to Marvel, Danny Ramirez has no problem doing the work to prepare for a role — especially when there’s a workout involved. He told Men’s Health in February 2025 that he went “all natty, bro” to transform into Joaquin Torres/Falcon for Captain America: Brave New World, and Us thanks him for his service. While he (sadly) doesn’t have any shirtless scenes in the flick, that didn’t stop him from showing off his shredded torso on Instagram. We’re hitting that follow button immediately.

Slowly but surely, Drew Starkey — who plays villainous Rafe Cameron on Outer Banks — has won over viewers, but his most recent role in the racy romantic drama Queer opposite Daniel Craig is sure to leave him with a whole new set of fans. Playing a discharged Navy serviceman in 1950s Mexico City who becomes involved in a steamy relationship with Craig’s character, Starkey proves he has layers — even as he takes them off.
