Dierks Bentley Clarifies His Sleeping Arrangement With Wife Cassid

Dierks Bentley’s sleeping arrangements with wife Cassidy Black may not be as wild as some fans first thought.

“Why I don’t do podcasts 🤣 🤦,” Bentley, 49, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, September 4. “This is how we do it. I like bouncing around in my old single axle, leaf spring Chevy truck, but we prefer ‘independent suspension’ when it comes to sleep. Turns out your grandparents knew what they were doing, as does most of the current world outside the US today.”

In a series of photographs, the country singer showcased two ZINUS moiz wood platform bed frames put together to create one larger bed.

The only thing separating the two bed frames — priced at less than $132 each on Amazon — was the family dog.

“Just like a good mullet offers business up front, party in the back, this set up allows for both types of activities this room in the house is meant for,” Bentley continued in his post. “If you have this move in you try it. You can thank me and the $131 dollar amazon beds later. (dog not included) thanks @mrbobbybones @thebobbycast 🤣.”

While appearing on the Tuesday, September 2, episode of the “Bobbycast” podcast, Bentley made headlines when he broke down his sleeping arrangement with his spouse of 19 years.

“I decided to separate church and state and I got rid of our bed, and I’ve got two platform beds and two box springs and two mattresses,” Bentley — who wrapped up The Broken Branches Tour in August — told podcast host Bobby Bones. “I have my own duvet, she has her duvet, there’s a clear line. You can see the floor between her bed and mine.”

The Flag & Anthem designer — who describes himself as the “worst sleeper” — compared the sleeping arrangement to “independent suspension” and asked listeners, “Why would you have a truck with leaf springs when you can have independent suspension?”

“So she can move around all she wants,” he continued. “And if you feel like you really need extra sleep, you can kind of push her bed a little further over.”

After sharing a few images with fans to better illustrate his reality, Bentley was met with understanding from his followers, including Miranda Lambert, who “liked” the post.

“Lol I’m glad you clarified 😂 full euro style,” Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn wrote in the comments section. Another fan added, “Your clarification makes me smile 😊 All is well in the Bentley house!”
