'DWTS' Pros and Celebs Who Found Love on the Show — And Are Still Together

Since its 2004 debut, Dancing With the Stars has awarded many mirrorball trophies — and has led to engagements, babies and lasting love. In 2015, pro dancer Kym Johnson was partnered with Shark Tank's Robert Herjavec. The duo had initial sparks and later confirmed they were dating. "From the moment I met [Kym], we got along great. This is a very scary experience for me, and it’s great to have somebody like Kym to go through it with," he shared with Us at the time. Johnson and Herjavec have since welcomed twins, while DWTS pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and wife Peta Murgatroyd — who became a couple in 2012 — share three sons. The couple debuted their romance via Instagram on Valentine's Day 2023. The CODA actor and the choreographer met while competing for the mirrorball trophy on season 31, which premiered in September 2022. They placed fifth during their season.

One year later, they celebrated a major milestone when they got engaged on Christmas Day. “Forever!!” Stewart wrote alongside Instagram pics of their December 2023 engagement, which took place during a hike in California.

They got married in August 2025 in Santa Margarita, California. 

“I was never the little girl that had big dreams of a fairy-tale wedding,” she told People in an interview about the wedding. “So when I describe our wedding, I want it to feel like an abundance of love connecting everyone there!”

Former DWTS pro Johnson was partnered with the businessman for season 20 of the show in 2015. In February 2016, the pair announced their engagement. Johnson and Herjavec tied the knot in July 2016 and welcomed twins, Hudson and Haven, in April 2018.

Despite being known as the "bad boy of the ballroom," Maksim — the brother of Val — began dating DWTS pro Murgatroyd in 2012. After years of an on-off relationship, he proposed in December 2015. The pair welcomed their first child, son Shai Aleksander, in January 2017. Seven months later, the dancers married.

In January 2023, Murgatroyd announced that she was pregnant and expecting the duo’s second child following multiple miscarriages. She gave birth to son Rio in June 2023. Seven months later, she announced that she and her husband were expecting another baby. Their third son was born in July 2024.  

In 2019, Pashkov and Karagach joined Dancing With the Stars for season 28. However, the pro dancers connected years before that — they were first partnered up in competitive dance together in 2009 when she was 15 and he was 23. In 2014, the couple married.

Us confirmed in November 2022 that the pair are expecting their first child together.

Although Chmerkovskiy was part of the Dancing With the Stars family since season 2, he didn't meet Johnson until she joined season 18 in 2014. After an on-off relationship, the duo announced their engagement in 2018 and tied the knot in April 2019.

They confirmed that they are expecting their first child in July 2022. The couple announced in January 2023 that their son had arrived.

The Dancing With the Stars judge met Erbert when she was cast as one of the dancers on his and sister Julianne Hough’s tour in 2014. The following year they became an item. Their relationship blossomed even more once Erbert was a troop dancer on DWTS in 2016 and Derek was a pro.

While Derek is now a judge on the Disney+ series — and Erbert only appears on the show to dance with her beau from time to time — the couple is still going strong. In June 2022, the pair confirmed they were engaged, and they tied the knot in August 2023.
