Stock Market Opening Bell: Indian benchmark indices opened on a flat-to-positive note on Wednesday, September 3, amid a cautious global setup and ahead of key domestic triggers including the second day of the GST Council meeting.
At the opening bell, the Nifty 50 was up 18.75 points or 0.076 per cent at 24,598.35, while the BSE Sensex gained 127.08 points or 0.16 per cent to trade at 80,284.96.
Meanwhile, the rupee opened flat at ₹88.15 against the US dollar, indicating limited currency movement in early trade.
Investors are closely watching cues from the ongoing GST Council meeting, which could bring clarity on rate rationalisation and structural tax changes. Global sentiment remains cautious, with focus on upcoming economic data from the US and Eurozone later today.
