As fans continue to be worried about the future of their favorite HGTV shows, reality stars from the network are teasing whether they plan to stay — or go.
The concern started in June when HGTV canceled five shows: Battle on the Beach, Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Bargain Block and Izzy Does It. HGTV’s website, however, shared a page one month later that highlighted shows currently seeking participants. There were 11 shows on the page, suggesting those programs would be returning for further seasons, including a new Property Brothers show, a third season of Down Home Fab With Chelsea and Cole DeBoer, another season of My Lottery Dream Home and House Hunters.
Most HGTV stars whose shows have been pulled off the air addressed the shocking news. But what about the reality TV stars who haven’t received any updates on their shows yet?
Keep scrolling for everything Ty Pennington, Erin and Ben Napier and more have said about their future at HGTV:
Ty Pennington
Pennington clarified his future at the network after fans misinterpreted an Instagram post as a goodbye message.
“I’m not leavin! I just travel light 😂.” He elaborated in another response, which read, “It’s definitely not over 🤗😉.”
Christina Haack
Before news broke about Christina on the Coast not being renewed, Haack hinted that she would be filming a new season of a yet-to-be-announced project, writing via Instagram in July, “41 you’ve been fun, but ready to be done.42- i’m manifesting being the most calm, grounded version of myself… love & adventures with my guy and FUN with my family and friends… a new season of shooting 📺 , bigger & better design projects, lots of travel, more Pilates, diving deeper into spiritual / wisdom coaching with my girl …. and of course what I’m most exited for- @clecacheechampagne … cheers to cancer season.”
Haack still has The Flip Off in contention at HGTV, but it remains to be seen if there might be an entirely new project on the horizon.
Erin and Ben Napier
Since 2016, Ben and Erin have hosted HGTV’s Home Town, which has since inspired spinoffs such as Home Town Takeover and Home Town Kickstart. The couple made it clear they would love nothing more than to expand when they pitched an idea for a new series.
“I am at work, it’s demo day, and it is so, so hot and so sweaty,” Erin said in a June 2025 Instagram video. “And I was thinking how fun it would be if we also made a show where Ben and I sit in a dark movie theater like Mystery Science Theater [3000].”
Ben noted that “instead of sci-fi movies, we watch old Nancy Meyers movies, like [The] Parent Trap.” Erin elaborated on the idea, which would have them talking “about the houses and the set design and why these characters live in these rooms and these houses and what it says about the character.”
At the time, Erin clarified that “HGTV has absolutely not said they want to make this show.” Ben, for his part, joked that they were trying to crowdsource to see if there’s any interest.
Bobby Berk
The network confirmed in July 2025 that Berk will star in Junk or Jackpot? later in the year. The six-episode season will follow Berk as he is tasked with helping homeowners decide whether to keep their unique collections — including superhero figurines or rare puppets and dolls — or sell them in order to renovate their outdated homes.
Berk, who rose to fame on Netflix’s Queer Eye before announcing his exit in 2023, will also provide support for each homeowner so they can give their homes a dream makeover.
“I’m excited to help passionate people sift through their cherished items and give them reimagined spaces that will best honor what they hold dear,” Berk said in a press release, while executive producer John Cena added, “The idea for Junk or Jackpot? was born out of a conversation I had with friends. People often wonder if their collections are trash or treasure, and this show will help them find out.”
Nicole Curtis
HGTV fans were concerned when Rehab Addict aired two episodes of its new season in July 2025 before getting pulled off the air. Curtis, however, made it clear it was her decision and had nothing to do with ongoing cancellations at the network.
According to a post from Curtis on Instagram, she hasn’t “picked a new airdate yet.” Curtis pointed out that the first two episodes of season 9 are available to stream on HBO Max, in addition to the rest of the series — and other specials including Rehab Addict Lake House Rescue, Rehab Addict: Detroit, Rehab Addict Rescue and Beach Flip.
“So, needless to say, there’s a lot of cool old houses to catch back up on if you need a show about old house saving vs old house remuddling 😬,” she wrote at the time. “Or you can track down Grama Fay as I promised to send her more raw footage to watch 😬.”
Brian Kleinschmidt and Mika Kleinschmidt
Brian, who hosts 100 Day Dream Home alongside wife Mika, teased in July 2025 that their show was coming back soon.
“The dream continues this Fall with a brand new season!” he wrote via Instagram after previously confirming two months prior that the upcoming season would be the show’s sixth.
