Is Taylor Swift Retiring Her Go-To Red Lip With New ‘Life of a Showgirl’ Era

Taylor Swift’s new era might not incorporate her go-to red lip.

Swift, 35, announced that she’s releasing her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, with a new era on Tuesday, August 12. While sharing the news via her official website and in a teaser for Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” Wednesday, August 13, podcast episode, fans noticed that she wasn’t wearing her signature lip color, and was instead sporting an orange-toned lipstick to go along with the color palette of her album.

She held up the blurred-out album cover and shared, “This is my brand new album!” Jason, 37, started screaming, while Travis, 35, beamed as he sat next to Swift.

As she teased her new music, Swift donned a full beat, including dewy foundation, bronzed cheeks, winged eyeliner and long lashes. The most noteworthy part of her glam was her orange-toned lipstick, which fans thought was from her BFF Selena Gomez’s brand, Rare Beauty.

“Taylor Swift is wearing Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil in the shade ‘Joy’ for her appearance on New Heights podcast!” one social media user wrote via X, while another questioned if it was the terracotta “Brave” shade. Others pondered if she was still wearing Nars’ Morocco lipstick, which she’s also been known to sport.

Swift styled her glam with a laid-back — but pricey — ensemble. She styled a white button-up blouse with a tan Sandy Liang pleated skort, retailing for $625. The singer added a touch of sparkle to her look with a Cartier panther necklace ($22,500) and a coordinating gold Cartier watch adorned with diamonds ($18,330).

Swift has not yet announced when her album will be released, but teased the new music on Monday, August 11. Her official Taylor Nation account took to Instagram on Monday and shared a number of photos of Swift wearing all orange outfits during her Eras Tour.

“Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’ ❤️‍🔥,” the account captioned the post.
