Jannik Sinner’s phone might have given away a major development about his love life.
The No. 1 men’s tennis player in the world reached the 2025 US Open quarterfinals with a dominant win over Alexander Bublik on Monday, September 1, but Sinner’s off-the-court escapades also drew the attention of tennis fans over the weekend.
Following Sinner’s third round victory over Dennis Shapovalov on Saturday, August 30, a sleuth on TikTok noticed something interesting on the Italian tennis star’s phone.
“Jannik Sinner has a photo of Laila Hasanovic on his lock screen so the rumours are…? 👀,” TikTok user @mrsf1facts posted.
Hasanovic, 24, is a Danish model who has recently worked for brands like Prada, J.Lindeberg and Armani.
The picture of Hasanovic on Sinner’s phone was even identified as a being from a July brand post for Armani Beauty.
Sinner, also 24, and Hasanovic have been linked for months, but neither have publicly commented on their relationship.
Hasanovic attended Wimbledon earlier this year, where Sinner defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the men’s final to take home his fourth major title.
According to the New York Post, the model was also seen in Sinner’s player’s box at this year’s French Open. Alcaraz, 22, defeated Sinner in the men’s final at the tournament in June.
Prior to the start of the US Open, Sinner was asked by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera whether he was “in love.”
“Yes, but we don’t talk about our private life,” Sinner said.
At the Italian Open in May, Sinner was asked about recent photographs that showed him walking around Copenhagen with an unidentified woman, who many believed to be Hasanovic.
“I had to do some business, just a couple of photo shoots there,” Sinner told reporters. “That’s it. Nothing else.”
Sinner previously dated tennis player Anna Kalinskaya before the couple broke up earlier this year.
“I was very surprised to see some pictures, which, you know, nothing serious,” Sinner told reporters in May, presumably referencing the pictures of him with the woman in Copenhagen. “I’m not in a relationship. So, whoever is asking, that’s it. It’s all good.”
In an interview with Vanity Fair Italia in June 2024, Sinner discussed the challenges of balancing a relationship with his hectic schedule.
“Of course, it’s not easy,” he said. “I travel a lot and during tournaments. I’m very focused. But I think it’s a beautiful thing when you find the right love. Like for everyone. And then, if you think about it, the best tennis players in the world all have wives and children.”
