Dale Moss and Kat Izzo are officially boyfriend-girlfriend after finishing third place on Bachelor in Paradise.
“No engagement talks or anything like that,” Dale, 36, said on the Wednesday, September 3, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “I think, like, you have the show and we built the foundation there. When we talk about after the show [ended] in June, it was still a deep exploration phase for both of us.”
Kat, 29, and Dale met during Bachelor in Paradise season 10, walking away from the cameras in a relationship after they were eliminated during the Tuesday, September 2, finale. (Kat and Dale were voted out by their fellow castoffs, while Andrew Spencer and Alexe Godin, as well as Spencer Conley and Jess Edwards, were crowned the joint winners.)
After Kat and Dale returned home from Costa Rica, they continued to pursue their romance.
“We had many conversations, things that sprung up with both of us [and] weren’t created by the other partner,” Dale said. “Now, moving forward, we’re just in a very, very strong place.”
Dale also revealed his intentions behind his relationship with Kat, saying that he hopes their romance will only get stronger and will, eventually, involve certain milestones, like getting married or having children.
“I was never a big dater before,” he said. “For me, it’s always been taking [the] time to meet someone and get to understand them well. The relationship will form in its own [time], but I’m not trying to waste my time. I’m not trying to waste anyone else’s time. We’re not just going to casually hang out.”
Kat, for her part, chimed in to note that Dale “doesn’t like to talk about” certain milestones publicly, and that they do say “I love you” to one another.
“There’s certain things that you share ‘cause you’re proud of, but there’s also things that you keep tight,” Dale added. “Like I said on the show, I love and care for Kat deeply. We have all these conversations of what it looks like if [our future includes a] kid, a home [and] what we want. I’ve never fazed [being in] a relationship.”
For Kat, she further revealed to podcast host Nick Viall that “the love is there” and has grown since the pair left Bachelor in Paradise.
“We do express that to one another,” she said. “Now, we’re moving to the fact that we’re going to be public, and then it’s going to have its own things. Honestly, we can probably grow even deeper. It’s still really difficult to try to build a relationship in private [and while doing] long distance.”
After wrapping production, Kat even introduced Dale to both her family and her pet cat.
“That matters a lot,” she added. “He has a relationship with my cat [now]. That’s my baby.”
