Kendra Wilkinson’s ex-husband, Hank Baskett, is out and about in support his former team the Philadelphia Eagles!
The retired football star, 42, shared a smiling selfie of himself in the city with the caption, “Feels good being back in Philly!! #GoBirds” on Wednesday, September 3.
The snap was a rare one for Baskett, who doesn’t often post selfies via social media — or much insight into his personal life.
But while Haskett prefers to stay out of the spotlight, Wilkinson, 40, opened up about the exes’ coparenting dynamic back in May 2023 — and had nothing but positive things to say about Baskett.
“I’ll forever love my ex-husband, you know, he’s the greatest father to my kids and that’s all I really just ask for,” she exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting season 2 of her HBO Max series Kendra Sells Hollywood. “That itself is so good. It’s good enough and if later down the line things happen, then they happen. I will always love him and I loved him once. Love doesn’t just go away.”
Wilkinson explained further, adding, “We only have a short time on Earth, and once you love someone, I will always love them, you know? And my kids are just so happy and they’re so taken care of.”
Baskett and Wilkinson tied the knot in June 2009, two weeks after they announced they were expecting their first child. Hank IV was born in December 2009, and their daughter, Aliyah, arrived in May 2014.
Things began to fall apart between the pair soon after Aliyah’s birth when Wilkinson accused Baskett of being unfaithful. The pair decided to try to make things work, and Baskett told People in 2015, “I messed up. I put myself in a bad situation. And everything through me brought pain upon this family.”
The pair announced plans to divorce in 2018.
“I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways,” Wilkinson wrote via Instagram in April 2018. “I’m beyond sad and heartbroken because I did believe in forever, that’s why i said yes but unfortunately too much fear has gotten in the way. … Thank you Hank for a beautiful 8 years of marriage and 2 beautiful kids. I feel so thankful and blessed.”
The pair finalized their divorce at the L.A. County Superior Court in February 2019. Wilkinson and Baskett were each awarded joint legal and physical custody of their children, split the money in their accounts evenly, and kept their individual properties.
