‘Love Island USA’ Status Check: Which Couples Are Still Together?

They got a text — and found love in the Love Island USA villa.

The beloved British dating show made its way across the pond in 2019, following a crop of American bombshells searching for The One in a luxury tropical villa.

In season 1, eventual winners Elizabeth Weber and Zac Mirabelli had a connection too special to ignore.

“We kept checking off each other’s boxes.” Elizabeth exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2019. “I think we just had those sparks from the very first moment.”

To celebrate their victory, Elizabeth and Zac planned to visit one another’s family. “With the prize money, we may take a trip to Europe,” she told Us. “I’ve never been, and I really want to go. Nothing’s set in stone, but then we may move out to L.A. eventually.”

While Elizabeth and Zac ultimately called it quits several months later, other couples including season 3’s Kyra Lizama and Will Moncada and season 5’s Hannah Wright and Marco Donatelli are still going strong.

Elizabeth and Zac were the first villa residents to exchange “I love you’s” and become an official couple, making them an easy choice to win. Their love was short-lived as they split a few months after the finale aired in August 2019.

Caro fell hard for Ray in the Hawaiian villa and was eager to explore their bond post-show. They went on to compete on The Amazing Race season 33 in 2020, which was interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic. When filming resumed nearly one year later, Caro and Ray did not return as they had called it quits in the middle of lockdown. Caro later explained that she broke up with Ray over his lack of commitment.

Cash and Kyra had a rocky Love Island journey, with Kyra even dumping Cash in favor of bombshell Eric Hill. She quickly came to regret her decision, deciding to leave the show to pursue Cash after his elimination. They dated on and off before calling it quits for good in October 2019.

Alex, who cohosts a Love Island USA recap podcast with her villa BFF Elizabeth, dated Dylan for several months after leaving the island.

“Heartbreak is hard,” Alex wrote via Instagram Story that fall, confirming their split. “Our story was a fairy tale romance for me, but sometimes things just don't work out.”

Instead of traveling to an island, season 2 took place in Las Vegas amid COVID-19 restrictions. There, Justine finally found her perfect match in late arrival Caleb. They only dated three months after the finale aired.

“It’s truly a strange feeling to be typing this out but I understand my reality is now having to share some aspects of my life with you all regardless of how private I’d like to remain at times,” she wrote via Instagram Story in January 2021. “This is extremely difficult for me to express but out of respect for those of you who supported me, and rode for me, I want you to know that Caleb and I are no longer together.”

Justine returned to the villa for 2023’s Love Island Games spinoff, where she won with U.K. veteran Jack Fowler but didn’t find enduring romantic love.

Cely and Johnny also met during season 2 and tried to date when they left the show. They split in January 2021, reuniting two years later on Love Island Games when Cely made it clear that she was over Johnny.

The season 3 runners-up broke up shortly after leaving Love Island, but they reconciled in June 2022.

“My love, my heart, my life,” Kyra wrote in Spanish via Instagram one year later in June 2023.

Shannon and Josh left the season 3 villa early after his sister unexpectedly died in July 2021. They confirmed one year later in June 2022 that they broke up, nearly four months before reconciling.

Shannon announced in October 2023 during an episode of Elizabeth and Alex’s podcast that she and Josh had split for good.

The season 3 champs only dated for a few months after leaving the villa. Three years later, Olivia found a crossover connection with Love Island UK season 3 castoff Theo Campbell and they are expecting a baby in 2025.

The season 4 winners also couldn’t make their relationship last in the real world.

“Timmy and I are no longer together, so there's no more ‘Zimmy,’" Zeta said during a January 2023 interview with Murad Merali. "We're no longer together, and the storyline is really what I would like to get out because I truly give about my fans and my supporters.”

She continued at the time, “I feel like your person should be the person who gasses you more than the public and your family and everyone. They just want to lift you up all the time and just see you be your best self, and I felt like he was like, 'You get enough of that from everyone else, so you don't need it from me.' But that's who I wanted it from.”

Deb and Jesse dated for four months after leaving the villa.

“We have decided that we work better as friends and will always have love and respect for each other,” Deb wrote via Instagram in November 2022. “We will always cherish our memories and time together as we went through this incredible experience. We are so grateful for all of the love and support and hope you will continue to support us in our individual journeys.”

The season 5 champions are still going strong after winning the show in August 2023.

“From the villa to the real world, love doing life with you,” Hannah wrote via Instagram the following November.

Two years later, Marco proposed.

"Last night, I asked the love of my life to be mine forever and she said yes," he wrote via Instagram on May 29, 2025. "You are my light. My rock. My best friend. My home. I can’t wait to spend forever with you, Hannah."

Taylor and Bergie left the villa hand-in-hand and continue to defy the odds.

“Happiest when I’m with you,” Taylor gushed via Instagram in January 2024.

The season 5 pair connected on day one before conquering a Casa Amor cheating scandal to make it all the way to the finale. After six months of dating, Leo confirmed their breakup.

“No bad blood between us, just simply wasn’t working anymore and distance was a big factor,” he wrote via Instagram Story in October 2023. “Thank you all for the support through our journey this summer as we are both very grateful for the experience,” he wrote in the message. 

Carmen and Kenzo left the villa as boyfriend and girlfriend.

“You’re truly one of a kind and not only the best boyfriend to me, but also the best friend to every person you meet,” Carmen wrote via Instagram in September 2023. “I didn’t know it was possible for someone to be so loving, so kind, so compassionate, so funny, so cool, so calm and so collected all at once until I met you. I truly think you’re the greatest person in this whole world and am so lucky and grateful every day that you’ve come into my life bub.”

They confirmed their split via respective July 2024 social media statements, stressing that they “wanted different things.”

After winning season 6, Kordell and Serena planned to make their relationship work in the real world.

“We are very much [go with the] flow,” Serena exclusively told Us in July 2024 about their next steps. “Even [the conversation about] closing things off [in the villa] was just like, ‘Yeah, so we gonna do this?’ … I feel like we’ll both just know at the right time. When he does ask instead of, ‘Will you be my girlfriend?’ I like, ‘Can I be your boyfriend?’ The wording matters.”

When sharing a positive relationship update at the August 2024 reunion, the couple revealed they moved into a new apartment.

Despite Nicole’s hesitation after hearing Kendall say, “I love you” on their final date, they decided to give things a shot in the real world despite home bases in different states. (Kendall lives in Dallas and Nicole is based in California.)

“It’s good that she lives in California because I have a lot of family there — my sister and my mom are in California,” he told Us in July 2024. “So it’s a win-win situation when I go there, I get to see Nicole and I also get to see my family. I know my family eventually wants me to move back to California so my mom, specifically, is excited that Nicole is from there.”

One month later, the couple appeared on rocky ground as Nicole confronted Kendall during the reunion show about a lie he shared regarding his NFSW video that leaked the same day the finale aired.

“Obviously, the video is not OK. Nobody deserves that. Everybody in this room can agree, it’s f–ked up,” Nicole said. “However, I think if you say you love somebody, in the moment, when you’re telling me about something you need to be honest. Instead of saying it’s from years ago to someone you trusted — an ex-girlfriend — and then I find out two days later from JaNa [Craig] that it was in the hotel room before you go on the show to someone on a dating app is crazy."

One day after the reunion aired (and six days after it filmed), Nicole revealed that Kendall broke up with her over the phone after previously agreeing to work on things. 

Miguel told Us in July 2024 that he hopes their relationship continues despite long distances. While Leah lives in California, he is based in the United Kingdom.

“I definitely want to see how far this goes and whatever happens, whatever happens, I don’t want to lose what me and her have created,” Miguel said. “She’s definitely someone that I’ll hold dear for, I think, the rest of my life. We have made little plans — she wants to introduce me to her animals at her farm, which is what I’m looking forward to the most.”

At the Love Island USA reunion show one month later, the pair confirmed they are officially in a relationship after Miguel surprised Leah with a birthday dinner in New York.

“We’ve been really good, really good,” he told host Ariana Madix.

JaNa and Kenny also agreed to try long distance after leaving the villa, as JaNa lives in Las Vegas and Kenny resides in Dallas.

“I’m giving him 10 days max to have his alone time. And then boom, he’s gonna come visit me in Vegas,” she quipped to Us in July 2024. “We have plans in Dallas for the Texas State Fair. He wants to do the rodeo, the gun range, like, we’re just doing Texas [soon]. And he’s never been to Vegas, so [we have] to do the gambling and the shows and the clubs and everything you can think of. I’m gonna have it all laid out for him. We’re busy when we get out of here.”

One month later, the couple officially became boyfriend and girlfriend.

“My biggest priority is to make sure Kenny feels comfortable at all times,” JaNa told Us in August 2024 when asked about being on a fast track to an engagement. “He keeps me stable. So whatever he wants, I want!”

Kaylor went into her post-villa relationship with Aaron with her eyes wide open following his Casa Amor test.

“With Aaron, it’s definitely a huge, huge risk that I’m taking and I’m really freaking scared, but we’ll see what happens. I think everything happens for a reason,” she said on the “Viall Files” podcast in July 2024. “I’m 22, so I know that I have a lot of time to fall in love, break up, fall in love with another person, hook up with them, kiss a bunch of men and I think that’s so valuable before you do settle down. That’s why I’m like, ‘This is a huge risk that I’m taking with Aaron,’ but that’s OK. I’m 22 years old [and] I’m allowed to take these risks.”

During the reunion show, however, Kayla proclaimed to be done with Aaron after he omitted details (again) about his Casa Amor fling with Daniela Ortiz Rivera.

“Why do you keep f—ing lying to me? And quit love-bombing me,” she said. “I cannot believe I wasted my entire f—ing summer on you, Aaron. … I never want to speak to you ever again.”

After winning season 7, Amaya and Bryan decided to continue their relationship outside of the villa.

“We are exclusive and taking steps to [be boyfriend and girlfriend]. We care deeply about each other and we don’t want to rush things,” Bryan told Us Weekly in a July 2025 cover story. “Her happiness is very important. My happiness is very important. We got the love that we got [from fans] because we’re letting things happen naturally instead of doing stuff for the public eye, and we’re gonna continue doing that.”

Amaya, for her part, told Us that winning Love Island USA was “just the start” of their romance. 

“You’ll definitely be seeing me and Bry Bry,” she teased.

Olandria and Nic also left the villa with plans to keep seeing each other.

“Our relationship is something that [Olandria and I] haven’t labeled yet,” Nic told Us in July 2025. “We’re just taking our time and investing in the real world and enjoying each other’s company.”

Pepe and Iris are committed to pursuing a relationship outside of the season 8 villa.

“If I’m talking to someone seriously, I’m talking to them and I don’t want to talk to somebody else,” Pepe told Us in July 2025. “[Iris] is a beautiful and unbelievably amazing woman, so it would be dumb of me not to try to see this to the end and see what can actually happen with us.”
