They Strive to Impress Their Kids’ Friends — A Bit Too Eagerly!
Jerry O’Connell is not a regular dad, he’s a cool dad … at least that’s what he wants you to believe. The father of two threw up some hand gestures while posing for a photo with guy friends of his almost 17-year-old twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly, in August 2025. “Some male suitors came over to take our daughters out, so I had to let them know I am a Cool Dad,” he explained on Instagram. “[By the way], no clue what the hand gesture is. Hope it’s not gang/hate-related.” While the actor had enough self-awareness to poke fun at himself, that didn’t stop the internet from roasting his outfit in the comments. “The belly shirt is a great conversation starter for the guys,” joked comedian Jay Mohr, while another commenter mockingly praised his “crop top” — prompting O’Connell to respond that he must’ve accidentally put the shirt in the dryer on high heat. Which, honestly, is pretty funny — maybe he is a cool dad after all!
