Sydney Sweeney Serves Classic Bombshell in Hourglass-Hugging Corset Dress

Sydney Sweeney embodied Old Hollywood glamour while rocking a figure-hugging dress on the red carpet.

The actress, 27, showed off her hourglass curves at the premiere of her biopic movie, Christy, during the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, September 5.

Sweeney dazzled in a sculpted gown featuring a corset bodice and sharply contoured silhouette that accentuated her cinched waist during her appearance at the Princess of Wales Theatre.

Her corset flowed into a voluminous, draped skirt that gathered at the hip, held in place by a crimson rosette detail. She completed her look with a soft, bombshell waved hairstyle and simple glam, which included a signature smokey eye and nude lip.

Before hitting the red carpet in style, Sweeney waved to fans and posed for a photo with the real-life boxer, Christy Martin, she plays in her new film which already has Oscar buzz.

The Euphoria star underwent the ultimate transformation for her gritty role, gaining between 30 and 35 pounds while also bulking to obtain a chiseled, muscular physique with a strict workout regimen and nutrition plan.

“I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training. I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour,” she told W Magazine in June.

During the interview, Sweeney scrolled through her phone to find a photo of her transformation into Christy, for which she wore brown contact lenses and a short brown wig.

“My body was completely different,” she recalled. “I didn’t fit in any of my clothes. I’m usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My boobs got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy! I was like, Oh my god.”

“But it was amazing,” she added. “I was so strong, like crazy strong.”

Christy will be released in theaters nationwide on November 7, 2025.
