‘Tis the season when Bama Rush and #RushTok takes the internet by storm — and there’s a whole new crop of girls to meet.
The social media phenomenon follows aspiring sorority girls hoping to find a group of new “sisters” by joining Greek Life at their college campus. While vying for a coveted spot in a sorority, the potential new members (PNMs) have vlogged the experience via TikTok and showcased their outfits in viral videos.
Kylan Darnell — whose sister Izzy Darnell is currently going through recruitment — became the face of #RushTok in 2022, eventually joining the University of Alabama’s Zeta Tau Alpha. While on the other side of the process in 2025, Kylan shared that she decided to remove herself from participating in recruitment.
“I decided to take a step back because there’s just a lot of online stuff between me and my sister, and it was hard for me,” Kylan told People, noting that the conversation online has added pressure to her personal life.
