Have Princes Harry and William Seen Each Other in the U.K. This Week?

Prince Harry and Prince William are both completing their public duties in the U.K. this week, but will the estranged brothers cross paths?

Harry, 40, flew into London on Monday, September 8, and there has been much speculation from royal watchers about whether the Duke of Sussex will see his family.

Ahead of his Monday appearance at the WellChild awards, Harry visited his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s grave at Windsor Castle for the third anniversary of her death. William, meanwhile, was honoring the monarch eight miles away. He and wife Princess Kate Middleton were at the Women’s Institute in Sunningdale, Berkshire, to champion a cause Elizabeth supported before her death.

As the week has continued, both Harry and William have continued to be photographed at various events — but never in the same place. On Wednesday, September 10, William, 43, marked World Suicide Prevention Day at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, with members of the Jac Lewis Foundation.

Harry stayed in London on Wednesday to attend engagements related to the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham in 2027. (Questions about William and King Charles III’s attendance at Harry’s event have already been raised.)

Harry’s return to his home country comes months after he lost his appeal for government-funded security in May. Harry and wife Meghan Markle lost their protection detail in the U.K. after leaving the royal family in 2020, and he has been fighting to get it back ever since.

Following the legal loss, Harry spoke candidly to the BBC about his family feud and even hinted at his father’s alleged involvement in the court’s decision.

“There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands,” Harry said at the time. “Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts [to] do what is necessary.”

He also called for reconciliation amid the ongoing drama.

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” he added. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”

In July, members of Harry and Charles’ teams were spotted meeting in the U.K. Us Weekly understands that Harry’s chief communications officer was in London for routine meetings. Multiple outlets reported at the time that the closed-door meeting was regarding the royal family drama, with some speculating that Charles and Harry would have a face-to-face encounter this month.

“This meetup is make-or-break,” a royal insider said in Us Weekly’s cover story last week. “If it goes well, it could lead to other family members being open to better relationships. If things get leaked negatively, then it’s done, and there’s no chance [for peace].”
