Hulk Hogan and his ex-wife Linda Hogan have had quite the tumultuous relationship throughout the years.
The twosome reportedly met at a restaurant in Los Angeles in the early 1980s and quickly hit it off. Hulk and Linda tied the knot in 1983 and went on to welcome daughter Brooke Hogan in May 1988, followed by son Nick Hogan in July 1990.
Nearly 15 years after welcoming their second child, the Hogan family began starring on their own reality show called Hogan Knows Best. The show ran for four seasons from 2005 to 2007.
After the end of their reality show, Linda filed for divorce from Hulk following 24 years of marriage and cited irreconcilable differences.
Despite going through a messy divorce and a lawsuit in 2011, the twosome eventually worked things out with Linda claiming in March 2025 that while Hulk was a s***ty husband sometimes,” he was “always a good father.”
In July 2025, Hulk’s family confirmed to Us Weekly that he had died at the age of 71 years old following a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

“Hulk is looking forward to moving on with his life and is very hopeful that he and Linda can maintain a friendship and work together as parents to their two children,” Hulk’s rep told Us at the time.
2011
In her memoir, Wrestling the Hulk, Linda claimed that Hulk was abusive throughout their marriage.
“[Hulk] tore my shirt. He threw lamps. He held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat during arguments, slamming doors, pounding walls,” she wrote. “I was always afraid he would kill me in one of his rages.”
Following the memoir’s release, Linda said that Hulk “never apologized for any of his actions.”
“That is something that scared me. I did not want to be a statistic like Nicole Simpson,” she said on the Today show. “I was afraid to say anything. Had I said something, the carpet would have been pulled up underneath his career. I don’t know what my kids would have done. They were little at the time. It’s a very scary position. You don’t know how far they’re going to go. One fight can escalate and turn into something else.”
Linda shared that she believes that drugs were a part of Hulk’s anger issues.
“There was a constant flow of pain pills, anti-inflammatories, steroids,” she explained.
Following her claims, Hulk filed an 18-page lawsuit against Linda in December 2011, accusing her of defamation.
“After the four-year crazy divorce I thought I’d heard everything I could hear in the courtroom,” he told Us at the time. “Then, all of a sudden she says I abused her, that I was violent. She told everybody that I was a homosexual. If any of that was true, I would admit it, and I was a homosexual I would embrace it. It’s just so crazy to hear, so I have a real problem with it … If you’re going to say I’m something that I’m not to try to ruin my career and my livelihood … I have to answer her back.”
The lawsuit was eventually dismissed in 2012.
March 2016
During an appearance on Inside Edition, Linda revealed that she was still angry with Hulk for everything.
“YOU have single handedly ruined our 25-year marriage and our family … my trust, my love, my future, our future family with grandchildren, holidays, weddings, our kids’ lives, homes, their ability to trust, our poor animals, friends, neighbors, your career, finances, trademarks, retirement, your reputation, your health … even your soul … You lost it ALL,” she read on the show from a letter she wrote.
Linda noted that Hulk took her “for granted” and “never appreciated” her or their family.
“You continue in life this very way, still hiding behind those sunglasses, false smile and the bandana! Until you can really apologize to me and to our children, I will never forgive you,” she shared.
March 2025
After Brooke announced that she was estranged from both of her parents for different reasons, Linda spoke out saying that Hulk was a s***ty husband sometimes” but “always a good father.”
“[He] spent probably over $3 million on Brooke’s career, with no questions asked,” she told TMZ. “Our marriage didn’t work out, but what Brooke’s doing to us is completely unprecedented, unexpected and unfair and not true. Hulk Hogan, my ex, has been really distraught and saddened by her distance, just as I and her brother Nick [are], as well.”
