Jason Kelce is ready to stand by brother Travis Kelce’s side at his wedding to Taylor Swift.
Jason, 37, said he is hopeful that Travis, 35, will ask him to be his best man when he weds the pop superstar, though, the former Philadelphia Eagles center is aware that his brother is a popular guy.
“Hopefully I’m the best man. We’ll see. Trav has a lot of friends,” Jason said during an upcoming appearance on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast, a preview of which was shared via Instagram on Monday, September 1. (The full podcast episode is set to drop on Tuesday, September 2.)
“I’m just hoping to get the opportunity,” he added in the preview.
Travis and Swift, also 35, had the world buzzing on Tuesday, August 26, when they announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the couple captioned the post set to the tune of Swift’s hit song “So High School,” which is rumored to be about Travis.
The couple shared a carousel of engagement photos taken in a serene garden setting in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Jason and Travis’ dad, Ed Kelce, revealed to News 5 Cleveland that the proposal actually took place two weeks before the announcement.
“Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago,” Ed told the outlet just hours after the happy couple announced their engagement. “He was going to put it off till this week … but he was going to put her off till this week to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big, special event.”
Ed continued, “And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”

Jason reacted to the big news at the top of the Wednesday, August 27, episode of his and Travis’ “New Heights” podcast.
“There is one gigantic piece of new news that just hit the waves,” he said. “We did record this podcast on Monday, which is Travis’ one day off. So he is not here to address this himself, but we felt it necessary as a team here at ‘New Heights’ to get together and send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged. The proposal heard ’round the world. F*** yeah!”
Meanwhile, Jason’s wife Kylie, 33, liked Travis and Swift’s post announcing their engagement.
