Kylie Kelce misses “girl dinner” — and it’s all thanks to her four kids.
“I would say that feeding your children is one of the most underrated, difficult parts of parenting,” Kelce, 33, shared on the Thursday, July 31, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. “It’s difficult because, before I had children, I could do ‘girl dinner.’ I could slice off a few slices of cheese. I could eat a handful of Tostitos chips. I could eat an apple with peanut butter, and that could constitute my dinner.”
She continued, “But that’s not how the world works anymore, and now we have to eat three meals a day. And the decision-making is overwhelming. I will tell you that. Also, the need for being prepared. It’s just — it’s so much. It’s so much. It takes up so much of my brain.”
Kylie was prompted to share her family’s mealtime habits during her “Ask Me Some Things” segment of her show, in which she revealed her husband, Jason Kelce, does not cook much for her and their daughters — Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 4 months.
“Our cooking in our house is done by me. Jason didn’t really grow up cooking, and he has cooked rarely. He does a great job when he does it. He just, it’s … I actually enjoy it, so I like doing it, and I’m gonna keep doing it, but hopefully not in the way we currently do it, which is short-order cook style,” Kylie explained.
She added that one of her girls is a “picky eater,” another is a “particular eater” and one eats literally anything. “It’s delightful,” she stated.
“Pasta is the most obvious example of how I have to differentiate plates,” Kylie continued. “When I make pasta, I will let one person pick the shape. I only let them pick from shapes that I know their sisters will eat. First of all, I’m very confused about the fact that certain pasta shapes are an absolute hard pass for each child. Then we end up with: Ellie is butter and cheese, Benny is sauce and cheese and Wyatt is just sauce.”
In an April episode of her podcast, Kylie spoke about her daughters’ differing opinions on welcoming baby Finn into the family.
“Benny is still ticked. She is annoyed. She told me, ‘Put baby down,’” Kylie said. “Wyatt is very excited. She keeps walking by and going, ‘Oh my gosh. She’s just so cute.’ Ellie is excited and wants to be helpful, and they both just wanna keep touching her piggies.”
Kylie joked that Ellie has such a desire to touch her newborn sibling’s toes, in fact, she’s woken her up a few times.

“It’s funny because Ellie keeps coming by and saying, ‘Can I touch your piggies?’ And I’m like, ‘She’s sleeping.’ And she’s like, ‘OK. Can I touch your piggies?’ So, yeah, we’ve had a few wake-up moments just because we needed to touch piggies, and she’ll be better for it,” Kylie said.
Jason, 37, also spoke about his girls bonding with Finn, telling E! News in May that Benny has been “struggling” with no longer being the youngest in the family.
“But she finally told the new baby ‘I love you’ recently, so that was a big step for us,” he said. “Wyatt’s been really taking her under her wing and kind of trying to be like mom. So it’s been fun to watch as well.”
