Milo Ventimiglia is ditching the dad ‘stache and full hair from his role in This Is Us for a new high-stakes look.
The actor, 48, was spotted rocking a freshly buzzed head while filming his upcoming role in I Will Find You, an eight-episode Netflix series that was adapted by cocreator Robert Hull from Harlan Coben’s novel.
Ventimiglia donned the cropped ‘do on set of the project in Downtown Manhattan on Wednesday, August 27, wearing a navy blue button-up polo T-shirt with matching slacks.
Photos obtained by Us Weekly show the star with a pensive expression while holding onto a beige jacket, also appearing to look over the script with members of the production team.
Ventimiglia will play Hayden in the upcoming series about an innocent father (Sam Worthington) serving life for the murder of his own son who discovers that his child may still be alive.
In order to find out the truth for himself, Worthington’s character, David Burroughs, has to break out of prison. As for Hayden, he is from a prominent Boston family as well as the former boyfriend and close confidante of Rachel Mills — portrayed by Britt Lower — who is David’s ex-sister-in-law and a now-disgraced reporter with hopes of revitalizing her career.
Ventimiglia, a three-time Emmy nominee for his portrayal of beloved father and husband Jack Pearson on NBC’s This Is Us, was revealed to have joined the cast of I Will Find You in March. The series is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2026.
In June, viewers were overjoyed to see the actor during a surprise cameo in Jensen Ackles‘ Prime Video show, Countdown. He played Officer Robert Darden, who worked for U.S Customs and Border Patrol of Homeland Security before he was killed in cold blood.
The following month, Ventimiglia’s wife, Jarah Mariano, gave a glimpse into his personal life, treating fans to a rare family photo in honor of a special occasion.
“Happy birthday Milo, husband, dada,” Mariano, 41, wrote via her Instagram Story on July 8, adding a white heart emoji to her sentimental message.
It marked his first birthday as a father after welcoming a baby girl, Ke’ala, with Mariano in January. The couple quietly exchanged vows in September 2023.
