The Challenge's CT Tamburello Denies America Lopez Hook Up Rumors

CT Tamburello has addressed the rumors that America Lopez tried to hook up with him during The Challenge.

“Sounds like the rookie got loose on her first challenge, ate food after midnight, made out w a few of her girlfriends after a few drinks. A standard young ‘Gremlin Night Out.’ 🤷🏼‍♂️,” CT, 33, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, August 26. “America was never inappropriate towards me. Ever.”

CT added that from his recollection, America, 29, only spoke to him “when she scuttled to the top bunk” after a night of partying. He shared that fellow competitor Turbo Çamkıran was with him while America got chatty.

“Turbo and I had to use his aerosol deodorant spray like mace to shut her up,” he wrote. “Leave me out of this.”

America, who previously appeared on Big Brother 25, is one of the new competitors on The Challenge season 41. Earlier this month, Challenge veteran Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio claimed on his podcast that America tried to hook up with CT during filming. America is still publicly dating her Big Brother costar Cory Wurtenberger.

“The best night that [America] had was the night when she got annihilated and made out with, like, f***ing four people,” Johnny alleged on an August episode of the “Death, Taxes, and Bananas” podcast. “Tried to make out with CT, was making out with Dee [Valladares] on the bus.”

Johnny doubled down on his remarks, claiming it happened and was not shown in the episode.

“America went absolutely f**king apes**t that night. And the fact they didn’t show it, I’m like, ‘This is ridiculous,'” he alleged.

America has not publicly addressed Johnny’s claims. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.

Amid the rumors, America and Cory remain together. The couple fell in love in the Big Brother house in 2023. After their time on the show, America and Cory tackled long-distance before they decided to close the gap.

“After two weeks apart, I was, like, ‘This sucks. Let me move to Nashville,’” America exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2024. “I moved here January 1 and I got my own apartment. He lived down the street at his dorm. We did that for like five months and then he moved in after last semester. We’ve been living together for three or four months.”

Earlier this month, America and Cory moved to Boston. She shared a TikTok video giving a glimpse of her setting up her new home.

“Hi y’all! We made it to Boston. We’re pretty much all settled in, we just have a few things left to do,” she said in the August clip. “You know how you’ll leave your favorite thing till the end? My favorite thing, my little sweet treat dessert, is getting to organize my bookshelf.”
